In this mini-lecture, Dr Mike explains motor pathways (descending pathways), specifically the corticospinal pathway for conscious motor movement.
He also shows the differences between upper and lower motor neurons and what happens when they are damaged.

I always remembered that certain neural pathways cross at the medulla in the brainstem by thinking, “meDUALa”, and imagine people crossing swords. Great vids :)

about 3:32, is the leg is laterally located to the hand? I think it is located toward the medial of the hand(middle) :)

Hi you didn’t mention anything about interneurons doesn’t the upper motor neuron synapse with interneuron and the interneuron synapses with lower motor neuron?

Does the motor cortex sends down spinal cord and to the muscle?? or does it sends a signal down the spinal cord and to the closest neuron (motor neuron) to a muscle ?
