Brilliant! I grew up watching Mk2 escorts going sideways on rally stages! In my humble opinion all MK2 escorts should be asbo’s on steroids. That’s exactly what this car is. No feeling like naturally aspirated. Carbs or throttle bodies just love how they drive n sound. Mines exhaust is done in a way which makes it sound like a v8. I owned a 1979 mk2 Ford Escort back in 1997 when i was 17yo. It was light brown,. four door but with four spoke Rs alloys. I acquired it for the price of, a Boozaka bass tube and an Altai amplifier, which cost fifty quid from Ripspeed. Life was easier back then. Oh man, feeling the heartache all over again. My son had to sell his 1980 Mk2 just last weekend. We were busy repairing it from "buy as is" and had to replace the thrust-bearing, but couldnt find one anywhere in south africa!!! After shopping around for more than a month, we realised if we cant even find that clutch/thrust bearing, what other problems will we run into?? So sad.
