The clock is ticking. As soon I finished upgrading and servicing Herman, my trusty 2007 BMW GS 1200, I got a call from the shipping company my crate has arrived.
First thing first, all paperwork was done. Forms filled in, details and measurements submitted.
The… the long way to Hamburg. For everyone not knowing, I’m currently living here in Germany over the winter. Not because I like it so much, but I have to look after my old dad over this cold and dark time of the year. He is nearly 89 and things are slowing down very much so.
Anyway, not getting carried away here, Herman needs to be in Hamburg in a few days.
Hamburg is 550km north of me. And I need to have the motorbike packed and ready to be shipped.
All my gear will go with it. Everything from Tent, cooker, sleeping bag and underwear. All my gear what I need for 6-month South America.
My boots and motorbike suite will be boxed up as well. I only bring my helmet back. A daunting process off don’t bloody forget anything…
And yes.. Its raining a lot… New tires and lots and lots of luggage.
Let the fun begin.
