Motorbiking around Australia | Season1 Episode 1 | The Beginning

We leave our homes in Sydney and head to Nimbin via Taree in the first 2 days of our trip up to Cairns in the north, across to Karumba in the Gulf then back through inland Australia.
This is the first part of our motorcycle adventure around Australia.
I am riding a Kawasaki Versys 300x.

Fantastic trip and I enjoy that you’re doing it on a mighty versys x300. I truly think the smaller cc bikes that are very capable really adds to the adventure. I also own one of these in my small fleet. I use it as my do it everything, fun bike. It’s the one that picks up the most KMs. May I ask what windscreen you are using?

Thanks and I agree, a smaller bike is much more manageable. The screen is a cheapie off aliexpress, no doubt its a copy of something. Interestingly I wasn't totally happy with it as it gave a reasonable amount of turbulence and I kept swapping it back. I then purchased a mounting bracket which makes the screen height adjustable. Given the design of the screen I wasn't able to raise the screen as the bark busters hit it so I have to use it in the lowest position. But..... the bracket moves the screen out (as in forward) about 20mm and that is the secret. I can now use that screen at any speed with my visor up!! No more head buffeting. That really was a game changer. It is below eye level and no turbulence.

Great Ep 1. Looking forward to the rest. May I ask what you used for the intro with the map jumping from waypoint to waypoint?

Thanks. I used google earth pro. I am very new to it and want to improve, that was the most basic function i could figure out in a short space of time.
