@ageoflove19807 ай бұрын
The absolute classic that was really one of the songs that made the whole genre go mainstream was Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar from 1993. Its of course named after the famous club/bar and it really started the whole Ibiza trance rave scene. That really in its turn made trance music so popular with the greats like early Tiesto with tracks like "Flight 643" from 2001. After that the whole genre became a bit too mainstream and lost its appeal to me, as it basically became generic pop music.

I thought I was the only one on the planet with this style of dance. Cool. Now I can’t listen to this song without seriously thinking of you. I see you singing it from the Virgo moon night. It comes into my head off and on during different times. I’ve never felt so connected that night as I did. It was like pure magic. Why? Lol. Because that night for me anyway I was saying things to you directly in real time. To me, it felt like you responded to me. The world froze and it was just me and you. Even though it only lasted for such a small time. I’ll never forget it. I don’t want to live on memories. Help me. I’m aching so bad. You pushed me away. You will never get me back. Because you hurt me too deeply and it happened the day you shut me off from your love.

I used to work at poppa Murphy’s and at 12-2 we’d get the craziest rush and we always listen to this on repeat when we blasted out pizzas at insane rapid succession for all the hungry maniacs then after the rush we’d have a celebratory smoke out back. Memories.
