some very rare, desireable bikes there! IMO, The Bultacos and the Huskys were the stars of the show.

Thanks for showing these bikes. I’ve never seen so many vintage off road bikes in one spot before! The ‘57 Matchless ( next to the Motoguzzi ) may have had to come home with me if I had been there!

Thanks for sharing. Haven’t thought about many of the cycle manufacturers in many years. Brings back memories of motorcycle magazines from the 1970’s.

biker from england here, the frame shown @19;15 is a hand built rickman metisse frame still made today, partly due to the fact that steve mcqueen had one and competed on it .the company named a model after him " the desert sled" the frame is worth more than a lot of the complete bikes

THANK YOU GOODPLIERS!!!............THE RAREST bike in this lot, was probably the Montesa Cappra 360 GP in my opinion. And the one Maico looked like a 440GP. There was some cool, very desirable bikes in this collection. The BSA 441 Victors are cool, but the B50MX is the one everybody wants, didnt see any. Too bad I wasn't there, I would have grabbed quite a few bikes out of that collection. Also the one Husky 125 with un-cut frame I would have grabbed too, of the oval case Husqvarna's, too bad I didnt spot a 450 Desert master. Hard to believe the Moto Guzzi was the top earner in the lot, I would have ran past that old thing. Out west, the vintage MX bikes would have brought way more money. GOOD VIDEO OVERALL, enjoyed it immensely Can someone reply, and tell me what the Montasa Cappra 360GP went for?

Thank you for stopping by the channel and sharing your insights and knowledge on these. I agree, prices and interest can vary widely based on who shows up, and the regional markets

I bid on the Suzuki 50cc by phone..my friend that was there told me a kid was sitting on it...so I quit bidding...the kid I understand had the winning bid... My friend that was there bought several of the bikes... Thanks for sharing...I heard him speaking just as the 2 matching Honda's appeared in the video...

I was racing MX in the early 70s when a lot of those bikes were new. Bultacos and Ossas were fast.

About 20 years ago we bought out an entire motorcycle salvage yard full of 60s-80s bikes. Sadly they all went to the shredder.

Glad to see some motorcycles, a lot were salvage pieces & parts. A couple restorable early ones. The Husqvarna's, 1975 Maico, and the MotoGuzzi were some of the best.

These days it's unusual to see so many Bultacos (made in Spain) in one place. My best dirt bikes, 1960's, were Bultacos including an early version of the 250cc Matador (like the 3rd Bul you show at 2:15). The 2 Harley Sporster racers, even as buggered as they were, might have been costly too.

Incredible. And im sure the parts stash is equally impressive

Bet most of it winds up on the west coast. Loaded in to ocean cargo containers and shipped to Japan. The market there is hot for any vintage bikes or or 50's cars like old Cadillacs. Next time you go to one of these auctions how about filming the actual auction so we can see what is being sold and for how much. Not all but a few of the more interesting ones like the Moto-Guzi. 'd love to have an auction like that here in Mesa Az. I would liked to have that 76 Yamaha that appeared to be in good shape just for a putt around at the track and swap meet bike. Thanks for the great video.

What an amazing collection of bikes! Many of them are worth a lot. The BSA 441 Victor's are a $5,000 bike restored. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

Thanks for the video, I know nothing about bikes, well apart from when I was 14 and I put one in a hedge! (a car guy ever since!!)
@mr.goodpliers69883 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was a similar outcome for me. I bought a Honda for less than $50 at an estate auction. The kids in town helped me get it running. I rode it twenty or thirty feet in a straight line. I went to stop, forgot to put the clutch in, killed it, and tipped it over. That was all the fun I needed 😆

I don't know a whole lot about bikes, I'd bet some of those dirt bikes got sold for a hell of a deal. I really like that triumph @9:13 but knowing my eye, it was probably junk lol.

Hi Tim! Another thing we have in common! I'm not interested in bikes too. Never was. Your last video, 1941 fords I too agree with you 100% I also think they are ugly! Are you sure were not related somehow? Longer I follow ur channel the more I find out that we agree on a lot of things. Wow what a small world!!!! I gave you a thumbs up on this one,but I'm not interested at all. Hopefully next one will be what we like the most. You know the answer 👍❤ KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK

I'm not sure, and it may be hard to tally. That bike was a basketcase. The auction property was pretty large and spread out, and the pieces of that bike were scattered throughout the sheds and pallets laid out for sale. I think he was able to gather most all of it. He plans to put it together and then it will be available for sale.

It's a bubble for 70s and 80s bikes right now. I see many wallet traps there. Useless, nonworking bikes only being sold because someone remembered they had them sitting on their land, and realised that there are collectors who'll buy anything. Endless money pits bought by retirees... Buy only bikes that work, because sooner or later these collectors won't be around any more, and the market will crash.
