SiO2 is Silicon Dioxide (sand). That is a major component to make glass.

It's basically the same stuff as Mr Sheen, if you have that in the UK.

You should have said how much it cost Alf, though TBF unlikely to last 3 months if washed regularly. A good quality detailing spray like “zaino” over a polish would provide an equal level of protection I imagine, possibly better even. As an aternative to consider I have been using Chemical Guys Hydro slick which is an apply, leave, buff off application and seems to do a decent job and definitely leaves a “coating” on the paint. 👍🏻

As a test you should try poring a bucket of dirty muddy water too compare the difference, its how it does with dirt that is interessing... Not clean water!
