If you are looking into a throttle lock or push button cruise control for your motorcycle, look no further. I unbox and test a push button throttle lock that is quite affordable compared to others on the market.
This is a replica of another model of throttle lock. The installation is on a Royal Enfield Himalayan but the installation procedure will be similar for most model motorcycles. Some things to look out for:
- using the correct sized friction pad. it must allow the throttle to move freely and unhindered in normal operation.
- the side of the right hand side handlebar housing must be smooth and linear. If it has 'steps' in it, you will need to seek another solution for your throttle lock needs, as the friction pad won't work properly on a non-smooth surface.
- ensure you can manually cancel the throttle lock / cruise control as well as cancel it using the X button
