Motorised Matchbox Vickers Wellesley 1/72

An old school kit from 1997 which is an easy build. Lacking a bit of detail but typical of Matchbox.
I use to build a lot of Matchbox kits when I was younger, they were cheap and easy to get hold of locally.
This build wasn't going to be motorised but I changed my mind part way through and I'm glad I did.. It turned out to be a nice looking model.

Wow, impressive build, great mechanical aptitude! Came across it because i just started on one of these...pity there isn't a 1:32 scale kit like the Lysander...😂

I can highly recommend using water based acrylic thinner for joints on aircraft including around canopies, like the one from Vallejo. It is easy to apply with the fine nozzle and excess is easily removed. Downside is it doesn't sand well when dry, but you don't really need to.

Good Video bud, Im guessing Barnes Wallace designed that bird. Fancy taking one of those up to take on the mighty luftwaffe lol

Thx boyo..👍 Yeh it was designed by Barnes Wallace...I was suprised to learn it was a medium bomber and not a recce aircraft like I thought..

Looks great, nice work. What motor did you use and where did you find it?

Thanks Michael I used a 4mmx12mm motor. I bought the motors on ebay...Just search for micro motors..There are several diferent sizes.

Very nice. Your video could do with a bit better focus, but great subject and execution. Looks nice and "to scale." Which paints did you use for the main camo. colours?

Hi Rich. Thanks for the comment.. New camera seems to be a bit sensitive to movement...I shall do some testing for the next one.. I used Humbrol 29 dark earth..The green is a Revell colour,not sure what number off the top of my head.
