Mere pas Thunderbird 350 hai, bahut kharcha leti hai maintenance pe, main isko baich kar Xpulse lunga. I think Xpulse 200T is good for all purpose.

Fully agree with your final opinion. In and near city Xpulse, far and out of city Himalayan.

Using xpulse for the past 2 years , clocked 9000 km on the odo , till now , not a single breakdown has occurred , the engine and the performance is super reliable , the only drawback i feel is that the engine feels a bit underpowered on highway and there should have been a 6th gear for refinement.

Will get Himalayan for its torquey nature , ruggedness and simplicity

I will remove xpulse front mud guard and the beak and put Himalayan's front mud guard(since it's longer) without the beak. Without the beak it will look more urban without loosing any of its capability.

Xpluse200 is Dualsport bike Himalayan is Adventure bike So.... Himalayan is good for highway & offroad cruising. Xpluse200 is good for highway, offroad & mountain climbing too(Bcoz of its light weight.)

Good review Both bikes are good but I like hero xpulse because I have a hero impulse 2015 model and i'm happy with my hero impulse. I regularly service my impulse every 2000km. No more maintenance cost for impulse so i go with new hero xpulse.

Xpulse 200 must have a seat like HIMALAYAN. I think it has been too much late, Now Indian Motor Cycle Company should make seat like HONDA GOLD WING for long journey bikes. And must take care about the back passenger who can seat & rest comfortably.

u should tell people the reality aswell if u went on long adventurous tour on himalyan u have to take that route where re service centres are available because many people faced many issues on this bike and it was never a perfect machine to go beyond limits but on the other hand u can be adventurous or go through places which are unexplored on xpulse because it has a dna of reliablity and its light weight so u dont need any other guy to back out u from off road patches so live in reality dont go on paper terms and what other says at the end u re going to spend your money on such bikes and if u dont used them for what they are made for then it would make u feel bad...

the only bothering thing in himalayan is its freaking weight.its so heavy to be called as an off roader.i wish expulse had a 250 cc engine :( then it would easily kill himalayan.

Great Video. I have been driving Activa till now. Now I am planning to buy Either Himalayan OR Xpulse Or Vstrom XS. Please suggest. I stay in Bangalore and want to go on long drives to rameshwaram, kerela, kanyakumari, Kolkata and all. But not all the time. Most of the time it's office to home and vice versa. Being in Bangalore, traffic is a headache. But long drives definitely once in 6 months.

Himalayan is my dream bike

Xpulse is good for people having height more than 5'8"-5'10" , my height is 5'8", not sure due to travel fatigue or something other reasons but i felt back pain in riding Xpulse,with same riding kms for 100km in day Himalayan was very comfortable and i didn't face that, and yes Himalayan engine was more powerful, that is 100% true.

@anchor @motoroctane can you please elaborate how ABS on will make anybody "skid" on off-road??? Plz do the homework properly before making such statements.. "fishtail" or "steer by rear" is something one cannot do with rear ABS on during off-road conditions & the braking distance of ABS vehicle will be higher ... These are the reasons why switchable ABS required on a off-roader bike.

Hero is much easier to commute . Himalayan should refine more.. Both these will suffer sales if ktm adventure 390 gets launched with a proper price tag. Hero should have made a 300cc engine with 6 speed gearbox!! Bcoz xpulse at 1.25 lakhs.. 1.35 you get a fz 250 Yamaha!! Fz is capable of doing most jobs xpulse does!!
