@@natibrandt9343 many people are already programmed like robots and easily controlled to think and act in a desired way, they just don't realize it. look at all the people wearing masks and ready to willingly surrender a large chunk of freedom out of fear of a fake outbreak. those people running around with their masks and "social distancing" look like robots to me. there are people who wrote books decades ago, trying to warn us of exactly what they would do. they said they will repeatedly fake disasters and have them hyped up in the media to cause mass fear and chaos, and they will use the chaos to pass a bunch of laws they'd never normally be able to pass. just like those people warned, they have done this repeatedly and they will continue to do so, and 99% of the population will fall for it every time just as they have been unknowingly programmed to.

I had several of the original razors, before that the Moto star tac was sweet, look it up young people, and yes it was not color screen, but for us star trek fans it was the closest the the star trek communicator, so search motorola star tac and see how cool, but after that was the color screen Moto flip razor, man those were cool, I don't recall a model with a flash but there may have been one, but get this, the color razor had a camera that mostly didn't have a flash, now we all think we have cool smart phones with 50 million mega pixel camera, guess what, that don't mean crap, this was my experience, I'm guessing here but seems they we 2 megapixel cameras, which sounds low, but this part was amazing, I remember several times I would See some wildlife I'm my yard, usually my cat lol, but I could flip open my razor and snap a pic, get this motorola and other smart phone makers, the razor NEVER needed a flash, so this was my experience, if my human eye could see the cat on the porch at say sunset the pic I took with the razor was EXACTLY what I seen with human eyes , another words how many people with the latest smart phones with a flash still take crap low light photos, I know every phone I have had in last few years has had very dissapointing low light pictures, so it makes we wonder how Moto razor phones took excellent low light pics, they turned out just like what I was seeing with my eyes and without a flash, cameras have became very dissapointing considering we spend 700 to 1000 on a phone now days. Wish I could rig one from my old razor to fit in my new cell phone, perhaps the optics were better and now software tries to do the job , also the later razors had WiFi, sure texting and web browsing are better now days, so you can tell I'm a fan of old razors and star tacs, plus OMG the fact we could flip it closed, hang up the call and protect our screens, so I hope the new razor get bugs worked out, they do look cool, and yes sometimes first edition phones need to be massed produced and used to find some bugs , I still have 3 and tried to charge the batteries but I guess th battery is old, I may order a new battery , I think the network is different so may have to just use wifi and camera, last razor I had also has a memory card , enough bragging on the old razor, I may order the new, I did have a email said buy one get one free, so i guess that makes them 750 each instead of 1500, wish I could rent one for about 2 weeks and try out

I don't know how you do it with getting all of these devices for us man but I can't express how much I appreciate it. Thank you. You've been such a big help to me, and I hope you get that enough. But I'm trying to figure out how this RAZR would be useful... why would I want to fold my phone into a smaller phone? My Galaxy S10+ fits in my pocket perfectly fine. The Fold is a phone that unfolds into a tablet. That's amazing, and at that you get a usable outside screen, way more powerful specs, Galaxy Fold Premier Service, One UI, and the Samsung Ecosystem. So for me it's just a no-go. I think the RAZR was just more of a nostalgia phone that folds because it can fold.

Its thanks to awesome viewers like you tuning in to my videos that allows me to keep buying products for review! And I agree, the fold is my preference of device between the 2 here, but this clamshell design is something people are interested here in 2020. Problem is these and all other foldables up to this point, is price. They need to find a way to lower the price on these otherwise they will never be taken seriously and the masses will not buy into it. Thanks for watching!
@Eccentech
@Eccentech 4 жыл бұрын
@@ShaneSymonds yeah I feel like once people buy enough of these the price will go down. New technology. I will give something to the RAZR though and that's how it should be better for social media. Posting things on Instagram Stories and Snapchat, and viewing Instagram Stories is kind of a pain on the Fold. If you're watching IG stories with the bigger screen, it cuts off content. And posting forces you to use the outside screen unless you want your pictures to look weird with that aspect ratio.

@Bearinthewoods88
@Bearinthewoods88 4 жыл бұрын
Seems like they kinda missed the mark. At $1500, it out prices most flagship phones and the way it folds seems very uncertain to me, as far as the longevity since this is new tech. Part of what made the (original) razr special was that is was a decently reliable phone that was priced affordably. Most people from the era have a “dropped it in water and it still worked” kinda story. But truthfully, no one wants to give up their smart phones and go back to their phone that didn’t even have a qwerty keyboard, in the days when getting online on your phone was an expensive and pointless gimmick. They just remember the good conversations they had on them, the memorable pictures and videos, circling together in groups to share ringtones via bluetooth, learning to text, and possibly even sending out pictures for those very few with data plans.

It's selling in China for 950.00, so it's about 400.00 less than the the razr 5g 2020.

I'm so happy the Motorola website has the razr 2020 unlocked, currently with AT&T but I'll be switching back to Cricket. What I love about the phone is that's its plastic, not glass. I know that will discourage some people from buying it, but I love this phone. Everything about it ❤❤

I am disappointed in the low-end processor and small memory in a premium priced unit. I used the RAZR when it was a analog cell phone (yes, I am old) and it was a fantastic phone. I wonder about durability of this unit? The cool-factor is high but I am afraid the utility factor is well below my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.
@JohnnyC10071959
@JohnnyC10071959 4 жыл бұрын
@Jacob Heth Maybe the processor is okay. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (on V) as a backup for my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ on AT&T and a 15-year-old grandfathered plan with real unlimited unmanaged data. he difference between the S7 and Note10+ is night and day. My Note10+ is down as of this morning as UbreakIfix broke it while replacing the rear glass. Using the S7 is painful as it is so slow. I am not a "heavy gamer" but I am not sure how to take that comment "boomers like yourself". I am an early adopter and really want the RAZR to work but its low-end specs worry me. When it is available on T I will order.

I bet it can definitely be sold for much cheaper but moto doesn't want to yet. They probably want to workout the full display/hinge experience first if its not perfect. If the phone was sold at regular phone prices and didn't hold up to people's ridiculous expectations then it could tarnish the brand for years. Better be safe than sorry.

Before I could get a tire across the line on the street a guy parked in the lot backed into my car. Adjuster said he did his job and , $1,644.00 is what it would cost to repair the car. Car is not getting repaired that well I'm pounding out the dent making the door be able to be opened from the outside and Im putting that money away. NEVER thought he was going to pay that no argument with him.

What's pissing me off about all these review videos on the razr (not necessarily this one because this one is actually fairly positive) is the comparison of $1,500 to performance. We are so ingrained to compare performance to price that we've totally ignored form and feelings. This video kinda relates a bit to the form and feelings...seems like Shane truly enjoys the phone AS IS...because this phone evokes a good feeling when using it. Isn't that worth something anymore? Is this a form over function phone...to a small degree, YES! Look, I have a Note10+, arguably one the best phones on the planet...but I'm buying this razr. Why? Because I'm tired of carrying around a brick in my pocket. I'm tired of the same 'ole, same 'ole. I'm willing to pay $1,500 for a small form smartphone that can transform into a perfectly usable screen size when the need arises. I'm paying for a folding screen and, evidently, folding screens cost MORE than traditional ones because that's where your money is going. If I were a betting man, I bet the majority of the haters are the younger gen who have never really experienced a small cell phone. I get it...you just don't know what all the fuss is about. Us older crowd surely do, and will gladly revert back to it given a good opportunity...and this is it, for now. This performance argument reminds me of a similar argument that I've heard for decades in regards to sportbikes. Everyone needs more power because their little 600cc is not fast enough, or their 3 year old R1 is slower than the new one. MORE POWER, MORE POWER. "Oh, my bike can only hit 170MPH, I just feel like its dragging"...blah, blah, blah. Like we actually need to hit 180...or accelerate from 60-120 even faster. Its not good enough that the bike can go from 60-120 in 3+ seconds...we need MORE! Why? Its not like we will use that on the regular...and if you are, well, natural selection will run its course soon enough. Same with this razr. The specs are what they are. I don't use my Note to game, so I don't need bleeding edge performance in order to be on the leaderboard. I save my gaming for the console. I also don't multi-task with it much but when I do, its using simple business apps that don't require heavy chip sets. I don't need the performance my phone can dish (probably not even half TBH) and I doubt many of you "need" the performance either. This razr will, most likely, do just about everything you want it to do and do it with little fuss. This phone is about giving you a full screen when you need it, but in a more convenient package when you don't. I'm definitely looking forward to putting this bad boy in my pocket and still being able to sit and not get jabbed in the groin the entire time. I'm looking forward to a small phone when not in use, but a larger phone when needed. One caveat: I do wish it had wireless charging. I will miss that.

As I was reading other comments about the price/performance, I was thinking about what people consider performance. We have been trained that matters is screen resolution, camera quality, and battery life. But like you pointed out, other things matter. I agree that there can me an emotional factor. However, I do not agree that this phone necessarily sacrifices functionality for its form. Functionality is not always derived purely from the specs. My desktop with a i7-6700k and a rtx 2070 is definitely more powerful than my tab s6. HOWEVER, my tablet is much more functional for many tasks. Such as writing notes, annotating pdf's my professor is lecturing on or carring in my backpack. And that is where I make my argument for form contributing to function. And i feel like this phone's form could prove functional for some people. Maybe once I need a new phone, this form factor will be affordable 😂
