Flip 5. Better processor, better camera, more optimized, a cree that will work just as well as the razor in the real world. Better battery life and charging? It just doesn't look as cool, but I'm an adult and can live with that. I also think it will work better with cases.

I currently own a flip 3 which I'm a huge fan of and considered upgrading to the flip 5 but the razr+ front display design has me in a chokehold, it's just so neat and sleek looking 😔 the small nick just doesn't make sense to me in the flip 5. Motorola really did a good job with this design!

You chose one of the worst android phones you could've possibly chosen, coming of an iphone. Abysmal battery life, overheating, software bugs. I'd upgrade to a phone that doesn't use tensorflow SOC at the very least.

Im going for the motorola, if samsung came up with the same outside cover display i would go for samsung. The motorola just looks so sexy with the outside display. Im a huge samsung fan but that motorola outside display looks amazing.

In the US, the biggest difference between the two phones is the Flip 5 is going to come with mmwave 5G, which makes a difference if you're in a metro area. The razor is only sub 5G. Other differences are the majorly optimized Snapdragon Gen2 version in the Samsung and even more importantly are true Google-optimized cover screen apps to best maximize its use.

5G is a terrible hoax in the first place, either signals that are too fast to make use of or no signal at all. I wildly prefer whenever my phone is using a 4g signal because I get actual stable fast internet.

I always wanted a flip ever since Motorola came out with the razr back in 2019. But Samsung is the only brand in the US that sells them, but I hate Samsung's software. I'm glad we are getting an alternative, I'll be pre ordering the razr +

Ive just swapped from the flip 5 to the moto razr ultra, no regrets at all, it feels smoother, nicer to type on, the wider inner display & bigger outer display was the win factor for me, and the magenta leather back is just beautiful 😍 in person, no Samsung bloatware, i was watching so many reviews before i swapped, and wss so dubious if i was doing the right thing, ive 💯 done the right thing, so Moto for the win for me, hello moto

I have a moto razr v3 pink about 18 yrs ago ❤ right before I switched to SE P900 series (P900,P910,P910i). I can sense my pattern here... So ever since P9, I have always been fascinated with touch screen, qwerty keys and stylus.. Fast forward Samsung launched the Note, I loved it and after many upgrades im now using s22ultra.. But now after seeing the moto razr 40 ultra in viva magenta, wow nostalgia!! it made that little girl in me, happy ❤

Motorola Razr Plus all the way. Samsung should have done this a long time ago but was sleeping on customers with it's stupid upgrades each year. So I'm jumping ship to a more fun mobile experience with the Motorola Razr Plus.

I really don't like how the Razor's cameras overlap the outer screen. It might just be me, but I prefer the flip 5's cut out where it avoids the cameras and uses the little space next to them for icons. I do like the different colour options on the Razor, but I would always use a case, which would cover up those bright colours. After having the S23 Ultra I can say for sure I would get the Z Flip 5 simply for the Snapdragon gen 2 chip. The only thing I'm worried about is durability with both phones and the fact the Flip 5 still has a big crease on the inside. You might not see it, but you'll most certainly feel it and it really distracts you from playing games and scrolling. It makes you wonder how much they can push these foldable phones is they become more imaginative with the designs.

My Razr arrives tomorrow. I am an iPhone user but Razr was the model I used before the Apple phone debuted. I had to have it. I had the Samsung but it was boring.

Razr made has made this flip phone look like i need it. With its outter screen, bright magenta color, no gap when open. Samsung's phone looks like all the other phones out there with is neutral tone colors. Not much has changed with samsung for me to want to upgrade my phone. Competition isnt even a thing. Its just about having the latest phone and #Teamiphone or #teamgalaxy. Razr might be the competition we need. Better pricing for a phone that can do the same. And i cant wait for apple to bring out a foldable phone out too. Maybe theyll bring something different not just copy, paste, and a slapped apple.

T-Mobile is offering great deals on the Razr now but the flip 5 & i can only get one. So I finally saw the Motorola and I'm just not a huge fan of the UI. For one thing the notification icon screen is just massive and seems like a huge waste of space. The interface just doesn't seem as refined as even the flip 4 was. I like how Samsung can adjust the flashlight intensity for different needs-- and videos you can choose to have the light turn in & off when you start & stop the video. The Razr offers neither of these. Finally I'm in an area that I can use the 5G mmwave and get nearly a gig download speed... only Samsung offers that. I'll Reserve judgment till I see the Flip 5 IP, but right now I'm leaning towards Samsung.

The razr looks sexy and I do like the exterior screeb more. That said, I think the exterior screen isn't any better in practice and will be less optimized in the razer. Add in the better processor and I think the flip 5 pulls out the win. I'm also just so used to the Samsung ecosystem. I hope moto does well though. I hope their next version has a processor and cam that's on par with Samsung... Because Samsung is dropping the ball. I want Samsung to innovate or lose.

I highly doubt the snapdragon is really that much different in a year. Just another excuse for you to spend more money and the normal person isn't even going to notice. I'm still using my Note 10 plus and I don't see a difference when I use these newer phones.

A 2 year period makes difference but 1 year, i don't think so. I am a Samsung user for the last 11 years, but im going to order the Razr 40, because i think that Motorola has a better battery, a faster screen, and personally i like more the Moto design.

After 13 years as a loyal samsung customer, I'm going with the Motorola for one simple reason, they are the first to make a flip phone with a fully functional miniscreen AND drop it within a reasonable time frame. The creativity for Samsung seems to have stagnated... clamshell devices are the future of phone technology... and this hundred billion dollar Korean corporation should have had the functional outer screen model from the initial design. People don't have money, time or patience to be buying every new one of your models anymore. Make it right the first time.

@@jarrydlee7906Even worse that they kept on teasing that the screen was gonna be bigger which it never ended up being. The flip 4 basically felt like the finished version of the flip 3 (though the flip 4 is more fragile in durability from my experience). I bet you everything the flip 5 is gonna be a beta version of the then afterwards coming flip 6, they will try to pull it off again. It wasn't any different with the galaxy watch last year..

Both amazing and I gravitate toward the Motorola as the Razr was one of my first real phones after Nokias. But I think the factor that does make all the difference for me is truly the processor. The enhancement and efficiency of the Gen 2 is a big thing and I think the Motorola should have adopted this chip. I guess I'll be getting the Flip 5.

The last thing I have ever cared about or even noticed in a phone is what processor it is using. Nowadays every snapdragon phone out there is fully sufficient. What actually impacts your real life experience with the phone will primarily be the software.

@@gamechannel1271 i would agree normally but if that were the case, I think there wouldn't be the crashes experienced with the Exynosis chip. I have heard some problems have been improved with the Gen 2, mainly overheating and battery efficiency. I guess it's enough for me to wait for a newer phone. I'm not really a tech nerd, but i just want to avoid problems in such an expensive device!

Samsung imo is craap, and i would not give it a 3rd chance. They need a 4 year warranty. Motorola is the winner, i gave samsung flip 2 chances, never a 3rd. Im going back to the razr flip. A phone should last mre than 2 years when it costs $2000 +. Go motorola .👍🇺🇸

Razr 40 ultra have some problems like 1. alot of dusts is sticked to side of camera 2. Waterproof does not work 3. Cpu processor is old version 4. Charging power is only supported to max 5W

Razr+ is slicker and thinner with decent processor and camera performances. Flip looks sturdy and with a hinge gap. It is a no brainer for me: razr+ baby!

Motorola just don't see what they need to do to really turn heads on their phones. They will always be 1 step behind Samsung in technology, just like the processor here for example with Motorola using Gen1..Samsung Gen2.. The only way Motorola will beat Samsung in Flip is by selling RaZor at absurd cheaper price than Flip 5. The profits for Motorola will come with the amount of Razor user base obviously because massive sales.. but no it will be expensive overpriced with same sales like always... they should get Razor out there in many hands as possible and working on a true Flip killer

Processor doesn't make a real difference. What most people see when upgrading their phone is not a processor improvement, but a software one, with a new more efficient version of the OS and you start from scratch so all the baggage of your old app installs, filled up cache is gone. Also, the storage and battery on all these phones wears down noticably within a few years, causing an older phone to run much slower than it did originally. This shows up as long pauses when switching to the home screen or loading apps into memory.

Meh, I actually prefer Samsung's approach here. Motorola approach just looks haphazard and wasteful to me. Realistically, the whole screen area around the rear cameras is completely useless anyway, why bother having screen there? Both phones have pretty similar area that can actually be used. Maybe Razr has the slight edge here, but the area beside the cameras are useful for notifications anyway... Which is the same in terms of functionality as the notch on the Samsung.
