It’s the fastest I ever returned a synth. It’s super cool but completely unusable for me it was incredibly loud and unpleasant!

@@cougarman8Enjoy your quiet music room! I live in the middle of a dense high rise area (about 20 buildings, each 30+ stories all in a square city block) - as such, I probably wouldn't even notice the motor noise :) (though it's pretty audible in the video for sure!)

Great introductory video Liam. Motor synth is that kind of synth that will become a legend as time goes by. I'd buy two: one to use and one to leave in the box and resell in 15 years.. !!! Cheers!

This is literally the first time I can truly understand what goes behind the cost of the physical device. Not that I think the higher quality hardware synths are undeserving of their price tags, as I comprehend the concepts behind the inner workings of the devices and their chassis. I just mean, the level of engineering behind this device seems so intimidating and sophisticated, I'm amazed it's not twice the price

Really cool concept and an interesting sound. But I simply couldn't stand the noise. Even under headphones these motors were just too loud for me. Maybe locked in a fridge in another room and being controlled remotely...

Too me it sounds great. I could see how the noise factor could be a deal breaker but honestly i enjoy noise. My volca beats is hella noisy but i enjoy the character of this circuits so much and certain pedals i own give it ac musical quality. Too each their own. Some will choose the creative possibilities and others will stay in lands less ventured and more safe. A decrease in price by $500 would also be nice.

Hilariously I hate it because it's not MORE noisy, I wanted motor noises clacking and whirring to be the source of the synths sound, instead the motors just spin electromagnets to make signal connections and send, due to this the sounds I hear out of it don't seem all that unique tbh.

That must be the first Synth I´d rule out instantly from a YT Video only even though I really like it´s sound (the actual audio signal). The high pitched noise is unbearable IMHO.

*Everyone* I've seen who's _properly_ played this synth, you included of course, has blown me away with how absolutely incredible this synth can sound. I am absolutely, perfectly fine with an actual musical instrument "being noisy" ...and this thing just _exudes_ uniqueness of character. I want it so bad, and have wanted it ever since the MKII dropped with the better motors and louder soundscape. _INSTANT_ cult classic, mark my words✨

Isn't an Hammond organ electro mechanical as well? wheels turning and a pickup getting close if key is pressed, i'd say it's electro mechanical....
