And the current LS500 is the polar opposite. How the mighty have fallen.

At this time, one of the best engineered sedans or cars in the world 🌎 and they're still on the road.

I still see these cars on the road to this day and in good shape.

Impressive that any car could become “established” in only five years. I don’t think that would happen today.

One of the most slept on vehicles ever created. Lexus changed an industry with this one car.
@brandondavis76952 жыл бұрын
for the folks that kinda slept on the original car, or felt it was slow or not as luxe as its competitors, cant say nothing now. Lexus handed every other manufacturer their ass in a handbasket with the release of this LS.

Exaclty! This was the game changer. These cars were way ahead of their time. Back when Luxury Cars really stood by that! It wasn’t about gadgets, Apple Car Play/Android Auto, etc. But more about materials, ride, engineering, etc. This mf’er changed the whole game back in the day. They still look good af’ right now.

It’s crazy to think that this car inadvertently got a Mercedes engineer fired.😂

HOW LONG IS FOREVER ANYWAY ? Mmmmm WELL MR. JOHN DAVIS THIS IMPRESSIVE LEXUS LS400 IS STILL ROARING ON THE ROAD TODAY AND IS KNOWN FOR SURPASSING ITS 1 MILLION MILE MARKER WITHOUT ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. BMW AND MERCEDES BENZ CARS CAN BARLEY MAKE IT TO 150K...WELL DONE LEXUS 👏

Not true about Mercedes, plenty old Mercedes still on the road.

I hear a lot about the LS 430 being an even better car but there is no way shape or form anywhere as nice looking as the LS 400. They should've kept going with this body style for the 430 IMO

I’ve had my 94 for about 7 years. It’s getting harder and harder to find parts. Currently dealing with a broken throttle cable and leaky ecu capacitors.

I like the handsomeness of the exterior of the car, the performance was ok, but the problem with it was the interior, it was kind of cheap. I preferred the Q45.
@vinyl_2784 Жыл бұрын
Well it was much cheaper than a Mercedes or bmw but was faster, more reliable, more fuel efficient, and more
@kensmechanicalaffair Жыл бұрын
There was nothing cheap about the interior.

I worked with a lady years ago that had one identical to the test car. Another lady worked there that had an 80’s Camaro. The lady with the Lexus said she would take on the Camaro any day!

So i actually have one of these right now and im trying to restore it. Honestly everything in this video was spot on and my car basically has no issues whatsoever aside from a new paint job....any new ideas for a new vintage lexus owner?
@comradecracker447 Жыл бұрын
I have genuinely no clue. I have an 05. I would like to give advice but Iv never had to well... really do/get done on anything in my car besides new mats and maybe some small misc stuff Iv long forgotten.
@comradecracker447 Жыл бұрын
Oh actually one thing I would advise is if you don’t get a new screen which is modern, you can now get a cigarette lighter plug in that plugs into your car and phone. This then translates your phone audio into a radio frequency I think? And then just tune into the one it’s set at.

The latest generation of the LS is kind of weak. Lexus trying to make it sporty at the expense of ride comfort as well as adding to the price made the car nowhere as good as they used to be.
