Still wondering how they managed to shoehorn the 3.7 V6 inside that engine room.

A shame they didn't sell the lift-back of this generation in the US. Mazda should really bring back the lift-back in the 6.

I bought the 2009 6i sport in 2012, same color as the video shown. LOVE my Mazda. Bought it with 27k miles and she's now at 105k. Never had one single problem. Great car. Only thing I wished it had was a backup camera. And the gas mileage could be better, but overall, a good daily driver. Even better is that she's paid for!

Having driven over 300 cars through working at many car dealerships. I have driven the Camry and Accord many times. I just drove the 2012 Mazda 6i auto for 4 hours each way trip as a rental car. I was amazed. I am very picky and usually find many problems with all cars, but this was nearly perfect. The ride was smooth but the steering felt sporty and direct. The interior looked great and felt high quality. I drove it rough through the mountain roads and it handled well and felt good.

I might have the car now. Mine was a rental sale i financed at fairish deal 8 years ago. Been a great car and really is oddly exceptional on twisty roads for a sedan. Especially when shifting manually wjoch is actually right in a mazda of these years. Quick when car is empty gas, empty people, empty of junk..... Its pretty light.

Funny thing is Mazda actually issued a recall for this thing for one particular and weird reason this thing has two fuel lines that feed the engine rare in the Auto industry it was discovered that spiders were building nests in the fuel line

I just bought a used 2010 6sport. LOVE IT. Always had Honda's before, but between the sticker prices and their issues with transmissions, I'm a Mazda guy now. Mine only has 102000 miles on her, pretty young for the year.

I don't understand why this car is such a slow seller in the segment. This car is amazing and so much better than Camry, Accord and even the Chevy Malibu. The Mazda 6 is a best kept secret and it's very underestimated.

I love my 6 and I can just feel the quality and engineering that went into this car and it has a lot of legroom for us six footers (i'm 6'5'). Mines is Ebony Black which is a great color for this car.

Camry, Accord, and Nissans are so bland and plain. I see so many of them where I live. It's almost like the working poor car of choice.

I don't care about resale value. I know they are reliable. I bought my Mazda Protege 7 years ago for $1900 with 121,000 miles(at the time) and I still drive it today nearly every day. That car is bullet proof. And I have used it as a delivery vehicle, on many long trips, have towed more than max weight capacity, and raced it on a track. It refuses to break down. A Civic or Corolla with similar mileage would have cost $3500+ and not handle as well.

I got the 2012 I GT and I simply love it. My 3rd M6. The 4cyl can use more horsepower but for its time, other competitors were about the same 9r less. Still a great gr8 car.

Resale value doesn't reflect reliability or durability. It simply reflects supply and demand. My Taurus was worth less than my Camry when both were 14 years old... but no less reliable. Your claim of "within $1000" also doesn't reflect actual purchase price, but rather MSRP. We bought a 2010 iSport. Its MSRP was, as you state, within $1000 of the Camry or Accord. Its out the door price was a good $2500 less than the Camry or Accord comparably equipped.

Size? The previous Mazda 6 was roomy. Why are americans so obsessed with fat sized cars. Bigger is not always better as long as it is comfortable. Unless of course if we really want to sprawl out in our cars like a guy come home from work sprawled all over the couch asleep with the TV left on.
