i have an 05 caravan ext with 3.3 liter pushrod engine. Owned it since new. Other than the rust its the best car I have owned. Also have a 2014 grand caravan with the standard in all now pentastar 3.6 liter overhead can with variable timing. Well I would comment on that one but my wife drives it with five kids to haul. She has gone on several trips to all over and no issues. They both are the best in snow. Just happen to wonder how the new minivan the pacifica rates to others vans now.

I have this exact same van but with 175k miles, only issue is the previous owner thrashed it. It's a nice Cruze around town though, very comfortable and lots of features for an older car. Wish I had it new.

The 3.8 and 3.3 are pushrod engines not over head cam engines

I just bought my wife a nicely used Grand SXT with of course stow and go. We owned a Grand Sport for years with the higher end packages. One thing i can say if your going to buy this van make sure to get the SXT or sport package. Your back will thank you. I've owned a 2003 SE for work, and it had many nice features but the low end seats just stink compared to the seats in the SXT. These van can be had at reasonable prices anyway, it should be somewhat obvious to just got for the higher end, but I wouldnt be my point. As nice as the electric doors, and navigation are nothing beats the seats. Our is grey cloth, not leather.

when I worked for a car rental company they have both Dodge caravan and Chrysler Town & country. back in the day they had both cassette and CD player which being made in Canada I took my cassettes and CD'S of Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, Anne Murray, Diana krall and Gordon Lightfoot.

Chrysler finally pulled the plug on the Dodge Grand Caravan, 2020 is the last year for them, I won't lie I gonna miss them.

we had a 2003 se trim that always felt cheap but it made it to 200k so I guess it was worth the 3k we bought it for.

luckily i'm not the only one that noticed motorweek's goof, the 3.3/3.8's from chrysler never had twin cams or even a cam to the best of my knowledge they were always clunky old overhead valve,but that's what the new pentastar's solved-power and gas mileage hopefully it's as reliable as the 3.3 was.

This video incorrectly states that the 3.8 liter v6 is an overhead cam engine. The 3.8 is simply a bored and stroked 3.3, and both are push-rod engines. "DOHC 24-VALVE" graphics shown over both engines in the video are obviously incorrect.

It's not DOHC or OHC
