Love the 'keeping it real' shot at the end to show it doesn't always go to plan. Thanks for sharing

Pat, this is what makes you different, you explain so well. The trait of what makes a good father too ! Chris Birch has a new video riding with young daughter, nice to hear the way he talks to her. Once again Pat thanks. :)

I’m hooked on all your videos right now. Just about to pick up my first trials bike. Could you do a vid where you talk about where gear you are in and how you use the clutch for each of the sections you film? I think it would be super helpful for a newb.
@alangrant5219
@alangrant5219 4 жыл бұрын
I know you mention gearing in other vids. But a quick one specifically about choosing the right gear would be great. From a street bike guy, dropping the clutch stopped in second just seems crazy. Even though it's correct.

I will try to touch on gearing more in the future, maybe one specific to that and choosing the right gear. Thanks for the idea! But trials bikes have gearing made to be able to pull 1st-3rd from a dead stop. 2nd is super common and used a lot. -Pat

Bjr, I find all of your lessons informative and clear. Being French, it would be possible to have either an English or French subtitle in order to better understand your explanations. In any case, continue like this. Ralph

Love and appreciate all ur vids Pat! When u throttle off after popping the clutch is that to get the suspension to unload for lift or to not loop out at the top or both? Thx

Hi pat been watching some videos on this on the second blip do you shut off the power as you pop the clutch and let the engines built up revs take you over or keep the throttle open thanks
@neilharding8826
@neilharding8826 4 жыл бұрын
Pat, please can you do a tutorial on "poping the clutch" in principle it sounds easy ...but as a rider looking to do slightly more technical things other than just nipping over smaller objects it would be great if you could talk about how this technique can be learned

I was just finishing up my second year of how to videos and almost made one on popping the clutch... I decided to do something different but I will have to touch on it in a future video. -Pat

@@FactoryONE_Motorsports Pat, as per your response on "popping" the clutch, this is probably the most over used expression in trials but it's never really shown. As a intermediate rider, I slow-mo videos often to try and watch the clutch finger...buts it's so subtle and difficult to learn from. Is it possible to set up a "clutch finger cam"? Picture in picture would be even better so we can see what the bike is doing and the clutch at the same time. Love your stuff! I'll start buying from your sponsors! Thanks again

I am tried this but I am a little confused if I should keeping a finger on front break or not.. I see that you keep. Are you able to add more throttle when finger is on the break lever? In my case keeping finger on the front break limitate the amount of adding throttle.. What is your advise? When you keep and when not 🙂

Do you use clutch to get that first blip onto the object aswel? Or just throttle then clutch for the second?
@FactoryONE_Motorsports
@FactoryONE_Motorsports 4 жыл бұрын
I prefer to use it both times for ultimate control, but it can be done without on the initial wheelie. -Pat

Does it work with an oset
@FactoryONE_Motorsports
@FactoryONE_Motorsports 4 жыл бұрын
It is slightly different since the Oset doesn't have a clutch. It's a little more like one movement on the Oset, but it can still help to touch the front and jump. -Pat
