MotoVlog Special - Harbor Freight Wheel Cleaning Stand and Puig Hugger Install!

Using the Harbor Freight Wheel Cleaner as an inexpensive substitute for a center stand. Great for wheel cleaning, chain maintenance, or getting just another inch off the ground to fit a drain pan underneath for other maintenance.

Cool vid as always bud. That roller stand looks a little precarious to use, but a great cheep fix if you don't have a centre stand. Nice one mate.

+Rob Ash It's actually not too bad, haven't had any trouble with it yet. Harbor Freight stuff is hit-or-miss sometimes. Small and easy to use is the nameof the game with this one :-)

I had my reservations, but actually the for 7-8$ thats not a bad system. Closest thing i have is the paddock stand, and that is alot riskier and costs twice as much.

Worried about the bike rolling forward?----- apply the front brake & tie off the brake lever with a Velcro strap! Need to clean up your wheels? All you need is a cheap pack of baby wipes & as a bonus your hands smell nice when you've finished ;-)

I love your garage! and your motorcycles :) I'd be careful with that roller contraption knowing how unstable the bike can be on its side stand. I definitely wouldn't be rolling the back wheel forwards on it in case the stand flicked up. Can you get a main stand for these Triumph's? Take care mate :)

+Hepcat Harley Thanks Hep! One does have to be very careful, no doubt. You actually have to roll the wheel one way, if you roll it the other way it walks off the roller! Over here the Triumph center stands cost about $260 each, I'll likely be getting one for the Tiger, but I'm going to lower the Bonneville for the wife so a center stand wouldn't fit after that.

For all the times I have been in Harbor Freight, I will have to look for it. Do you like the rear hugger It looked eazy to install.

+BlueGram 13 Yep, pretty handy :-) The hugger looks great, I think it's going to work well for keeping grime off of the rear sock and swing arm.

Any update on how the rear fender is holding up? Does it restrict clearance any more than the swingarm? ..I just picked up a new-to-me 2013 tiger 800xc and was thinking I might give this a try, as long as it doesn't limit my tire options.. thanks!

Thanks for commenting! No, this has been great for me. I only have the XR version of the bike, so it may be different for you. I had no clearance issues at all with the Pirelli, or the Michelin PR4, or with what I have on now, which are Full Bore M40 Dual Sport Tires. Check out my latest video and you'll see them on there. Plenty of clearance. Maybe with some TKC80s or something it might be an issue, but so far so good. B-)

Will a 180 rear tire fit on one and does it make the kick stand lean angle too sharp making it necessary to put a board under the kick stand. I have a rear wheel spool stand but the spool ends are missing with just angle angle/frame adapters. It will lift bike but closer to the middle of the bike making it difficult to safely lift by myself and well I can’t afford a proper strong Pit Bull Wheel stand right now. My ZRX1200R is on the heavy side for a sport bike. The roller stand looks like an easier option for cleaning my wheel especially the back wheel .

This option may work for you. The rear wheel on my Tiger and my BMW is a 150 and there's plenty of room left. Keep in my that with the bike on the side stand, a smaller contact patch is made with the rollers.
