When the time comes and I am gonna get mine, I will have all my loose vintage He Man figures by my bed, some cola, sit on the floor and play Masters of the Universe cartoon on my spare tv and put the stickers on and for an hour or two pretend I am 6 years old again.

I had gotten a 1981 castle grey skull off ebay. Complete with the box paper work, unused sticker sheet plus the cardboard cut outs. The Thing I didn't know about was that its a Australian variant. Really lighter green than other loose one I have from 1982. Thought that was pretty cool.

Everyone says the training dummy is weird. It's based on a midieval mounted combat target. The idea was to teach you accuracy at high speed. The idea is you ride at it and try and hit one of the targets as you ride past, but if you aren't going fast enough, it will spin around and knock you off your horse. That's why one side is a boar head, and the other side is a fist.

My kids play with our classics grayskull, stress levels will be better when I get this one lol

This is, like... the most nostalgic toy ever. Obviously made with adult collectors in mind, but damn, I really really really hope there is a generation of little kids who will get to enjoy this like we did.

The sculpt is actually much neater and overall better than the original. looks very nice

The flexibility of the plastic helps to prevent cracking and shipping...like the difference between bamboo and a more rigid wood.

One thing I would liked to have seen included on the origins grayskull is the jawbridge chains,that would've been cool

Modern plastic uses much less oil on it's manufacturing, that is why its now lighter and does not have that smell the old plastics did, like it went directly from something like a car fixing office or something like that. The good part in this, is that the plastic now bends much more and is less prone to become breakeable with time and sun exposure like a loot of old vintage plastic did. I have a lot of small army soldiers from the 80s that are now simply falling into small pieces because of that, even if I stored them well and in the dark for all this years. I got new ones, and those I can bend a lot, and they don't show any signs of breaking like the vintage ones did, so yeah, it is well possible the newer will end up lasting longer. Also, change of color due to sunlight is less likely to happen in modern plastic, as it does have, in most cases, protection agains UV decomposition. Remember, plastic was a relatively new thing in the end os 70s and 80s, it has developed a LOT in technology all this yers and became much cheaper, but also there is now much more types, so quality may vary a lot.

I have this one, but only because it was all I could afford. I so so so wish the big classics Castle with the plastic space suit (which I believe to be Marlaina's) was available at this price. I am glad the computers were not just stickers in this one though haha. I've found the Origins figures aren't a big fave, including this new sorceress that comes with this one. I like the 7 inch classics and even the revelations much more. Yes, very nit picky with stickers, I even tore the dungeon grate one haha. The look of the Origins Grayskull is good, but should have been bigger. This is more like a toy than collectable in my opinion.

When i apply stickers i use a sewing pin less surface area for the sticker to attach to like tweezers so the sticker comes off the applicator tool more easier

I was a bit young for masters of the universe when it came out but my older brother had them and I kind of remember the cartoon and toys. I think the origins line is the first time since the modern He-man stuff from super7 etc that I’m going to buy. These are great and like the fact that they are doing stuff that’s more functional but true to the originals. Similar to what Hasbro did with the SW vintage series. Looking forward to getting all these.

“Stickers!” Oy! Have you ever stickered a Cobra Rattler jet? I have a 25th or 30th anniversary one, and no joke, there’s about 137 stickers to apply! I nearly had an aneurysm! Then within 2 weeks several started to peel off! Especially the missiles & bombs. And that VTOL jet is packing an entire war’s worth of “BOOM!” I still love it! I recommend precision tweezers and xanax or you may snap and never recover.

I never never had Castle Grayskull, but I had the original Technodrome playset by Playmates in the early 90s and remember the huge sticker sheets and trying to get them all perfect. Stressful.

Very cool Dan. I have a question for you. I've been frequenting 3 Targets and 2 Walmarts in my area and have seen nothing but Heman, Skeletor, Battle Cat and Sky Sled/Prince Adam. I didn't get wave 2 online because I'm trying to support the line via retail in hopes to keep it alive (and now bbts has sold out of wave 2), and I remember the Mattel brand manager saying that there will be plenty for everyone to buy, so my question to you is, do you know if retail stores like Target and Walmart are going to restock wave 2 figures, or start stocking them? The messaging from Mattel vs reality seems a bit inconsistent, because yes there are plenty of Hemans and Skeletors for everyone to buy, but there's not much else. It's seems like the odd occurrence when someone posts online that they found some wave 2 and 3, but it seems like finding a needle in a haystack... yet stores outside of the US seem to be stocked with everything... what gives?
