Loyalty is killing me I've just left aseri which I've conquered and I'm gonna take battania just so I don't have to deal with that shit. No matter what I do it's always minus.

Hi, i´am new in Bannerlord, how can i stock up the food in castles? I have a lot food in the stash, but they dont use it!?!? In towns I think they use the food I sell to the market ....

Does the tax penalty increase if I reserve all conquered fiefs only for me (or my clan members)? In old versions of M&B each new fief adds to the penalty so that with 7-9 of them severe financial penalties arise? Does M&B2 have this feature? And if I give a fief to another (my) clan member - he or she cannot he it's governor, right? I'll just loose control over that castle/city, I guess, at a very that moment. Can I give only village to somebody as a fief, or I need to give the whole set: castle+villages or town+villages?

so because you are the clan head only you can own them over your companions, as far as i know no tax penalty has been introduced yet and you can own a lot of cities and castles before you get issues but ideally you want a governor in most of them, and yes they all come as a set so you would have to gift a castle or town to one of your lords

@Raptorscallion Gaming - Are you sure the cultural penalty is not for a mismatched governor and not the player character? Also, are you sure there is not a clan level restriction to beginning your own kingdom?

the governing culture penalty i think applies to whoever is actually governing. so if i add a sturgian companion to a sturgian settlement it wont have the penalty. however i think there is also a ruling faction culture penalty which would be my culture, but i think its only -1

How would one increase construction? Even with alot of money on reserves keeps my construction at 0

so everything factors into construction if you have low loyalty/food then you will have very low construction. and your prosperity also has an effect, essentially the higher the prosperity the more construction you'll have overall.

Likely loyalty is to low. Can be zero construction if low

@@jeanpagette5019 It's been so long since I've played (over a year) so I know there has been a lot of updates. I just started playing again and was gifted a castle 🏰. I noticed it's going to take around 250 days just to upgrade my walls from level I to II 😳

Its in your clan area, you can also set to max level of cost.

you need to manually create your kingdom in the clan tab and you might possibly need a castle that is of your culture?

Because in the console version there are differences, also I solved the problem by updating the game to the latest version I was playing the game without having updated it because I didn't have internet now that I have after the update this problem disappeared as well as having a bit of balance regarding the gold...

Are Castles actually worth it though? i joined Vlandia, got two castles but i lose money with both of them since the garrison cost is higher than the money i make with them. even before i reinforced the garrison it was too expensive. i think they were cheaper in earlier versions (playing 1.59) now..maybe it's a bug i don't know. the castles aren't maxed out yet and i have to assign a governor but it just doesn't feel like it's worth it losing 1000 denars every day just to have a castle..

I get where you are coming from and yes some garrisons can be very very expensive and actually end up making you lose money but it all depends on the castle you have as it is probably a low prosperity one and also what skills you have determines how much you pay your men and garrison. aswell as how much you profit from castles and villages. so for a while especially if you get one early it an be a drain on the finances for sure. a governer will also help, get one with high stewardship and they'll likely reduce garrison wages

Castles are easier to defend, but unfortunately they are pretty much useless as of now simply because AI just avoids sieging them, goes past and sieges the town either way. Castles were supposed to be positioned in strategic points on the map to defend entries into the kingdom but that currently doesn’t work in the game. Not sure how they can make it work without nurfing AI logic. Maybe give debuffs or wounded men to armies passing an enemy castle?

Wait.. they queue up new building construction? I’ve been playing for hundreds of hours and that has literally never happened. Am I missing something or are you.

Have them build a workshop, that increases construction rate.
