This song always reminds me of my roots back in the Pacific Northwest

This is the song my best friend wanted played at his funeral. He used to put it on repeat to go to sleep. It was his favorite song.

One of my favorite songs of all time, I find it so comforting and relaxing that whenever I have insomnia I play this to help me drift off Forgetting every time that I get woken up and creeped out by the end of the song

The second part of this song in the latest album (Clear Moon), is perhaps one of the most beautiful and meaningful songs I've had the pleasure of listening to. Such a wonderful, wonderful album in general, too.

The dissonance in the second half is so brilliant. Love this song to bits

At night in the northwest wilderness, you can lie perfectly still and tune in to the eternal drone of the wind in the trees... You have to listen really close though... sounds like this

Big Twin Peaks / Julie Cruise vibe on this one

the melody is very similar to the one from Questions in a World of Blue by Julee Cruise

the melody reminds me of "I'll Do Anything but Breakdance For You Baby" by Daniel Johnston.

hey this comment is 7 years old, but the melody is also really similar to "questions in a world of blue" which is on the soundtrack for the twin peaks movie! (later in the album he also directly samples "lauras theme" from twin peaks, and has, on multiple occasions, sighted twin peaks as a massive source of inspiration for his music!)

En qualité et en charge émotionnelle, c'est, pour moi, ce qui se rapproche le plus de Sparklehorse (Mark Linkous étant mon "songwrtiter" préféré de tous les temps).

From upon the hill I can see The lights of town Through the trees And there is wind There is only wind Do I disdain them? That "Land of Dreams"? From up here you can see them living On the way home, through the trees I have climbed the hill at twilight To find the source of the wind From upon the hill I can see The lights of town That "Land of Dreams" Through the trees There is only wind That 'Land of Dreams' blows in the wind That 'Land of Dreams' blows in the wind That 'Land of Dreams' blows in the wind That 'Land of Dreams' blows in the wind From upon the hill...
