Today we are talking about what level you need to be to get your first mount in Wotlk! In Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the level requirement for your first mount is lowered to 20! Before this level requirement was 30 but apparently Blizzard thought it would be better to make it 20. You will also need 10 gold to buy your first riding skill and then the mount is an additional 1 gold. From there the price of riding goes up and up until we are flying in Northrend!
This guide covers the price of each skill/mount all the way up to Cold Weather Flying in Wotlk!

If you buy 280 flying from honor hold or northrend, I'm pretty sure you get a discount depending on your rep.

Isn't there a Discount for epic flying if you buy it in Dalaran? You just need Honored with the Kirin Tor faction. Same might also apply for Honor Hold/Thrallmar too if you can train the riding skill there.

I forgot about the LVL reduction for flying and I was in a group when everyone else mounted up and flew off I was like wtf!!??

Are you sure that Tome will be there at the beginning of the expansion launch for the alts, since it was added in Patch 3.2 in the original?

Sure? nope but I don't see why not. They have pretty much added every QoL feature possible at the beginning of each classic expansion instead of at the end. So I think it is highly likely but of course it hasn't been announced, so I'm not sure.

Does druid without epic flight form in tbc get 310% speed on flight form after learning cold weather flying?

Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): level requirement for this skill has been lowered to level 71. Flight Form and Swift Flight Form now benefit from a paladin's Crusader Aura. Druids who have acquired a mount able to go 310% flight speed will now also go that speed while in this form. According to this once a druid has a mount that can do 310, their form does 310. I am pretty sure they will need to pay the 5000 gold to fly that fast. Cold weather just allows northrend flying and doesn't let you fly any faster

Not sure, they did lower the prices of the mounts in TBC Classic during Pre-Patch. So it's very possible.

@@DarrenG It does get a discount though. If you learn epic flying in Honor hold or Thrallmar there is a reputation based discount in wotlk pre patch. I don't remember which faction it is but I'm pretty sure its 1000g you save off training if you're exalted with Orgrimmar or Stormwind for ally.
