Hey Bruce, sorry for the late reply. Two months?! Wow. Is this for work or is all this time yours? Unfortunately, I do not live there. My in-laws do so visit frequently and always bring my bike. I most recently did a one month (April) camping/mountain trip all over the state. Oh man, so much fun and such a beautiful state. But, here is the key advice. What ever you do, spend as much time as possible in Sedona. It is some of the most spectacular riding I have done in 30 years of mountain biking. Both from natural beauty stannd point and variety of great trails. Also, check out Prescott. This is a forested riding area and also really cool. Maybe 3 days riding there would be good. Regarding Phoenix, on man, sooo many options. I really wish I lived out there. Estrella is a really good one and also South Mountain reserve. But, I have not tried everything. Honestly, White tank is okay but really so many better options. It is good place to start perhaps to get used to the sandy terrain and just get a feel for what you can expect all around the city. And one last tip. Use Trailforks. You will have access to every trail in the state. This app has changed my mountain bike life. Finally, I made other videos on Sedona and a few others around phoenix. Thanks for the valuable feedback! Good idea for me to call out the best bike for this trail. I was on a Cross country bike for this one. You can also use a trail bike but beyond that is overkill. If you have any other suggestions please send then along, I am all ears. Cheers, Roberto
