Andy obvious extensive skill and experience along with his mentoring skills with Justin make it enjoyable to watch where as Jack's arrogant bullying manner makes for uncomfortable viewing.

Andy, I really hope you either already have got, or will consider getting your NVQ in teaching and assessing. You are a fantastic mentor and educator, you assess and evaluate constantly with Justin, and provide an excellent educational environment. You are a great asset to the company, and I speak from a position as someone qualified and experienced with teaching, mentoring and assessing (all be it in another field), and I see your great potential within the company infrastructure. I hope Jem recognises these qualities in you appropriately as well, because he is a great mentor/educator as well, and has the advantage of being the boss. I don’t know what the hierarchical structure of your profession is, but I’d say you should be very close to the top of the triangle.

infuriating that the owner had not moved his car off the driveway and the blocked manhole was under it, 😠 and he wasn’t in the house to be able to do so/do a flush test afterwards

It amazes me that people who ask to have work carried out don't THINK that you guys will need access to ALL drain covers etc... MOVE your vehicles & TIDY your gardens.. It's NOT rocket science...
