My favorite part is that it's shows a side Of soldier most people ignore, his determination, you tell him to do something? He'll do it non-stop for three days. Here, he doesn't quit their climbing trip despite the hurdled he had to face. It also shows that he is smart but in his own way, being able to find a salution to a problem like when demo went flying due to his B.A.S.E. jumper and soldier got the idea to use one of the tents spikes. Great video.

0:58 I don’t know why but I appreciate the detail of having soldier wrap the rope around his hands before grabbing and pulling. It just feels like the logical thing to do.

Soldier may be dumb, but he is very determined on his mission and heavily cares about his comrades, and I love how that is shown here. The gags are also very clever.

brilliant, the saxxy entries nowadays has the same level in terms of quality with Valve's official animation which is really pleasing in the eyes. i remember back then it was really clunky and just plain lifeless, now it's really fluid dynamic and really lively feel to it.

@@Danimations2015 saxxy is not entirely revolved around tf2. i get it that it was MEANT for tf2 only, but valve decided to expand it into their whole valve properties. so thats why you see some half-life and cs:go entries winning in the last years of 2016-2017

I personally wish you added more weight in soldier's climbing at the beginning. With him carrying a sleeping demoman using a rope (a long rope), it would realistically take much more weight for him to be able to climb. But I understand that it probably would've taken a bit to much time for soldier to be struggling with weight while climbing. Nice animation nonetheless.
