Hey Brad, So far the BMPCC has had zero issue in the snow. I have had it out in some pretty heavy snow this season and it has been fine!

Thanks! On really cold days I will put hot packets for gloves and boots around the batteries while loading the case in room temperature. If you can keep heat around the batteries right from the beginning of the day loading the case it has worked pretty well.

Sold the RED and decided to give the Pocket 6K a run this season...the bang for the buck is pretty hard to beat. But just cut out the foam differently before to fit the RED set up.

@@208Productions Not to mention the money you freed up by making the move. Not many people will be able to tell the difference between the two footage anyways. I have been looking at a Zcam E2 and it seems very cost effective and impressive. Since Panasonic hasn't released any information about the GH6 yet.

@@ippielb Exactly...Love shooting on RED but just didn't make sense with how much the investment on it was. The Zcam looks like a good setup as well. Amazing how good some of these camera are getting for the money.

@@208Productions Not even just the investment of the body alone, everything in and around RED is gouged. Then you have the file sizes, the computer you need to handle the footage, and a display to take advantage of what you film. I'd be curious to see your computer set up for editing.

@@ippielb For sure... it's a custom build pc with 32GB of ram and a 12GB Gforce titan video card. I edit off of SSD drives for speed and backup everything on regular Gdrive external drives. It handles 4K raw playback but struggles on anything above that.

I've actually only had mirror-less cameras in there. The Canon in the case was just for demonstration as I was shooting it on the Sony A7iii that usually goes there. As long as the foam is cut out so it fits tight, so the camera can't move around I think it would be fine for mirrors as well. Don't think much vibration gets through.

I guess worst case all the equipment is insured. Little more risky than I’ve been willing to do with my setup (d850 and 70-200FL) but it’s sure heavy on my back!
