The full weight of the bars ( bolts, fixing plates etc) is 6.5kg. PS: love your videos, you're a Transalp KZfaq treasure 🤝

Thank you very much for this video! I have the Transalp with the ABS and I would love to change my GIVI crashbars with HEEDS. Now I am thinking maybe I shouldn't. I don't like the fact that it interferes with my steering and brakes. Do you have any more insights about it?

Hi there! I have been using the bike for a couple months with the Heed crashbars whithout any issue after I rerouted the brake tube with a zip tie. The steering is smooth and there is no rubbing. I still need to put a more permanent fixing for the brake tube, but I didn't have much spare time. Also in a few days I have a short offroad trip in which I want to test several things, and check if there is any problem with the brake tube and the Heed bars. Cheers!

@@coastrider8881 have you found a better solution for the brake line, yet? 😃 I have just encountered the same problem. I went to my local mechanic and they offered to cut a plate that will set both brake lines symmetrically about 7cm lower, but they want 130€ for it 😂 I'm willing to go with a ziptie before that. But I hope we can find a better solution for cheap

Hi there! I've been very busy and didn't have time to find a better solution, but so far the heavy duty plastic tie have done a good job for the past 4.000 kms including a long travel with offroad sections.

I have 2 questions...if you can answer me 1) is it possible to mount the "SW-motech" sump guard with these roll bars in the video? 2) how long is the screw near the horn? the first screw from the bottom (Sorry for my english) Thank you.

Hi Luca! By watching pictures of the SW-Motech sump guard on different Transalp 700 it seems they can be used altogether with the Heed crashbars, but I can't guarantee it. The Heed lower engine mount bolt is 11cm (not including the head). You will probably need a slightly longer one to mount the SW sump guard. The SW-Motech crashbars also get fixed on the same bolt, so maybe a longer one is already provided with the sump guard...

heed crashbars for ta650 last for 2 crashes (like drop the bike from centerstand) then they bend 😢.

They all bend. They are the fuse between the ground and your fairings / radiators / engine cases. I had Touratech crashbars on my 650, and after any fall while offroading I had to straighten them. Still cheaper than replacing the fairings or radiators. In my opinion the Heed look stronger than the Touratech I had, but luckily I didn't fell yet with the 700...
