for the doggie door, i think you should call ur dad. Ur mom would love a reason to come visit you! Benji as i saw from other videos, he’d really good. Maybe call Victor aswell, if you need to. Ur dad would love to have a reason to come to ur house and see you aswell! ❤😂

Three possible solutions for the awkward kitchen floor: 1) go to a carpet store with the floor dimensions drafted on grid paper and have them cut and bind the edges of the rug to fit. There are some very fun commercial carpets that would work great. You can also DIY this by getting an over sized rug, cutting it down, gluing the edges and wrapping the edges with binding tape for a clean finish. 2) buy a canvas drop cloth, cut it to shape and stitch the edges, prime and paint it with your preferred pattern/design, seal with polyurethane and use a anti-slip pad under it. 3) buy carpet squares and trim the edge pieces to fit, seal cut edge with glue to prevent unraveling. Hope those ideas help. Your move reminds me of my college days. I’m all smiles:)

Personally for the rug un the kitchen, I would do just a smaller rug that fits the island. I feel like anything more would look a bit clunky.

For the kitchen you can do two floor mats made for the kitchen and put them by the sink and wherever u stand most

I don’t know about a doggie door in Texas. Loads of snakes and other critters. Doesn’t matter if you have a fence. I have a full privacy fence and I get rabbits and other things.

I have a trunk full of keepsakes at my dad's in the crawl space. We went through it. I couldn't find my Star Trek collectable plates. But I did find my diploma from high school, and other stuff. I got some paperwork today, so I guess I'll be here another year. LOL, I had 16 pairs of scissors, I'm down to 1.

Kitchen rugs maybe cut to fit anti fatigue mat some have cool kitchen designs. Carpet store can bind the edges of carpet sold by the yard. That might let you get those angles. Consider an electricity generator harbor freight’s 9,500w and a Generlink meter adapter. Texas power situation occasionally gets challenging.

In Texas we have coyotes, other large wild animals and BIG hawks in the suburbs. They can jump fences. Especially in North Texas. I wouldn’t let Kobe Bear out alone at night for sure until you talk to your neighbors or check the next door app and see if there’s been sightings in your neighborhood. Just a thought also before getting a doggie door.

KennaDee I hope you and Chase measured the space for the refrigerator to make sure it fits your opening. You don't want it to come and it not fit. If you get another pedestal drawer for your washer/dryer you will probably have to removed the shelf above higher or remove it and put it somewhere else. I use to sl appliances so I know what I am talking about. I would make a place to fold your clothes and a place to hang them in your laundry room. It would make it easier for you. If you get the doggie door be careful what can come through it besides Kobe Bear. When you were making the bed I think I saw Ace moving his arms or feet in the bassinet. To cute. My grandma on my dad's side had 5 boys. She just wanted a girl. My grandpa was going to name the boys, and my grandma would name the girls. My dad was the youngest, so my grandma was like, I'm naming him. So that's how he got his name. Also, my sister names her kids really unusual names because my brother-in-law's last name is really common.

Good luck in medical school. Have a good time in your new house. Glad you are starting a new family. My sister is pregnant with her 3rd boy. My second nephew wore a shirt with I'm a big brother on it. Took me a while to figure out what it meant. So many boys on both of are family. Just me, my sister and my two cousins are girls. Like the other 20 are boys.
