Eggs are prepared in many ways, such as hard-boiled, sunny-side-up, and scrambled. The culinary team at the Egg Station live open kitchen woke our taste buds with fluffy, savory, and perfectly cooked omelets folded with slices of ham and cheese, mushrooms, and vegetables.
Before the chocolate candy bar was invented, the only way to taste chocolate was by cooking the fermented pure cacao ground beans in a pot with water and whisking with a molinillo, also called batirol, to a rich-frothy chocolate drink. The Tablea Sikwate, also called the Hot Chocolate drink at the Chocolate Station, is a mood enhancer. We fill and refill the demitasse cups at our pleasure, enjoying every sip with sweet mangoes.
Likewise, the aroma of warm bread pudding beckons me to dive into this comfort food. The pudding reminds me of my mom's recipe, using day-old bread. It is heartwarming how this comforting food and drink made me feel I was home.
