This is the 1st chinese movie that I was touched so much. A perfect movie that can compare to Western film. It's really great. The main casts really portray their roles. Godfrey & Jiao are perfect partner.

He pushed her away for years and both led a miserable life just to give in before his final days. Everybody will die. There was this cancer patient, hard to recover from, she lost hope and went on her last trip with her husband and kid. The husband is sucked up by the earth. He was too close to a natural wild fountain that sucked him up. then she realized she had to live so that their kid still had a family. She fought back and lived. Just live, live to the fullest, don't die before death comes, and don't lead a measurable life because your mind keeps lying to you. She could at least have a few more happy years with Li Chaun, she didn't have to regret for not being able to take care of him in his sickness and so many more. The mind always always always tricks you into believing foolish things. Just put him in his place and take the power of your own life.

Here for Godfrey Gao but this girl obsession is cringey to watch dozen episodes ago. I get her character is like that but it doesn't change or make it easier to watch since she's the FL. Can't watch GG scened w/o her in it. Very few of him and the guys. Seems much of her script was not well- written, even some lines of GGao too. So idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

GIrl is so selfish -- even after she knew he was seriously sick, she makes him go out in the COLD -- and pretends to ask if he is tired. She shd have said she was tired and jetlagged instead of expecting him to be her tour guide. Evn after the grandad told her to go home -- she decides to have Li Chuan to take her out again for the 3rd day. GOd how selfish can she be? Grandad is great actor and he has been so explicit that Li CHuan is on death bed but this girl INSISTS to be the queen . GIRL is unbelievably SELFISH -- SHe caused him to die sooner

Don't think she's selfish and He was cruel for disappearing for 4 years and not telling her the reason he did that. Rene had to explain everything to her while he was in the hospital on his death bed. He came back then into her life and no wonder she acted that way. It's an unfinished love relationship between them
