10-12 year difference is not uncommon, specially past 30. The issue here is probably that she looks younger than her actual age and he looks older but imaging if it was Leo DiCaprio or Jared Leto, who are both older than Ed Helms. For reference, check the age difference between pretty much every male in Hollywood and their spouses or ex's (Brad Pitt, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Adam Levine, Tom Cruise, Dwayne Johnson, Jimmy Kimmel, Harrison Ford, etc)

a 10-12 year difference is not uncommon, specially past 30. The issue here is probably that she looks 23 and he looks 48. She's pretty and he's ordinary looking. But imaging if instead of Ed Helms it was Leo DiCaprio or Jared Leto, who are both older. No one would care. Also, for reference, 12 years is the age difference between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and I didn't hear anyone saying it was weird

Yeah, I know. This girl I was going out with bought me that lamp--and it was neat but--I woke up and puss was coming out of her puss. I think she must've bought a defective one. She dumped me bc I blamed her gift and... It was this big thing, I guess. So now she tells every girl I date I didn't like her gift and to not date me. Fff. Ah well.

I'll see this but the way this trailer was cut made it feel like I already have. If it didn't look like a great cast I really wouldn't see a point after watching what's probably every main point of the film cut in to two and a half minutes.

Everyone is talking about how Ed Helms is so much older than Amanda Seyfried but Ed is only 11 years older. Lol. He looks his age but Amanda on the other hand, looks very young. It's not the largest age difference in movies by far. Nearly every single one of James Bond's love interests are at least 11 years younger than whoever is playing James Bond but the only difference is that Ed Helms doesn't look like Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, etc.

Felt the urge to reply to some of the comments here: Ehm..rlly people? Age is just a number anyway. Its not gross and yes, it does happen. But I guess that for you ppl it is not normal...again just plain ignorance and prejudice. Try being a bit more observant - might help you understand being in some kind of age difference relationship (as long as you are adults ok) doesnt mean you are doing smthn bad, illegal or rude (whatever you think it is...I have no idea).
