If you watch Predator 1. Arnold was heavily trained, had fire power, was the strongest of the group. He was the best of the best. He was still beaten and over powered by the Predator. The only reason he won, was because he set a trap and got really lucky. The predator could have killed him with his plasma weapon, but decided that he was an honorable kill and would face him without weapons. Still Arnold got beaten and would have been killed if it was not for that heavy trap he set up. He was just lucky to have been near that trap. This girl, even with all the training, would still lose to the predator. She would have to have help, and even then they would probably be killed off by the predator. You will have to be lucky and set traps everywhere to actually have a chance to win.

They haven't setup a downtrodden female protagonist who's just as good as the men but the patriarchy who won't left her help, only to show them she's better than all of them and is the only one who can possibly save them, just to let her not be better than them all as they all die for not believing and believing in her, only to let her die because she's not actually better than them all. Or at least not better enough. You can paint by numbers this shit by now. It doesn't mean it won't be good. But it's a colossal red flag. Be prepared for some colossally bad decision making from every male in the film that makes no sense historically or in character. An incredibly obliging protagonist they goes softball with our heroin to make her look good. And a strong female protagonist who is practically omniscient when it comes to how to fight an alien with tech thousands of years advanced despite coming from a culture that hasn't invented the wheel. Which some overlying message about how evil westerners are and how they aren't in communion with the land enough to fight it.

That would be dope bc the other outcome of this movies is fucking stupid. They are implying that the humans of the past could kill or even harm a predator when Arnold and Danny struggled the whole way through in their respective predator movies to kill them and they had guns. It wasn’t a big gun or fancy tech that defeated the Jungle hunter of the first movie. Just live bait and a log tied to a rope. No matter their advancements and tech, the predators ego and bloodlust will be a lethal weakness amongst their kind.

That's the point of the whole Predator franchise. Their technology is way more advanced than human technology, but they can be fooled in tricked in certain ways. A clever human can beat one of the Predators given the right circumstances.
