Pouring vinegar on bicarbonate soda neutralizes it, rendering both of the chemicals useless. Use the baking soda only then add hot water :)
@lyraserpentine8944 ай бұрын
This is false. The fact that bubbles were the result of the combination proves there was a chemical reaction. Reported for misinformation.
@NotMykl4 ай бұрын
The whole idea is to dump the baking soda down your drain followed by vinegar so the resulting bubbly chemical reaction cleans out the gunk stuck to sides of the pipes.

I think putting caulking over the mold will just cover it temporarily, in no time it will be back. You will have to scrape off as much of the mold covered caulk and then try to find a solution to kill or remove any remaining mold. Last step would be to add the new caulking.

Tip for the window film haha spray a mixture of dish soap and water on the windows and then cover in cling wrap, bubble wrap, whatever kind of thin plastic sheeting you have around. Leave for 30 minutes and then peel it off. It will disrupt the glue and make it much much easier to remove!

Congrats on the new apartment!! I‘m a bit confused though - the veranda / balcony with the glass blocks can‘t be opened right? So you can’t ever look outside? Also all the windows were frosted glass or foiled to look like frosted glass, so you can’t look outside the windows either? Strikes me as a bit odd. Is that common in Korea since the other apartment even has blacked out windows? Do people there value their privacy a lot more than a nice view? I would love an explanation 🤗

This is such a nice place. I would miss a view but its great for your pricacy when filming!Also- how good is it to have a designated bedroom? eg if one person wants to sleep early or rise early... I lived in many studio apartments with my partner and there is only so much you can do with noise cancelling headphones and oropax. Having a nice big flat was such a relief! Also - how good does it feel to make a cold, dirty place your own? Its worth all the work!

Great job with the cleaning. You always put in a lot of effort but the end result shows it was worth it. If you are planning on staying a year or two in the new place maybe your Landlady might allow you to take down the tiles in the kitchen and replace them? It would not be expensive but it would looks o much better than what is there.

I'm not sure why you picked that appartment, it's so dated 😅 the first and even the second one is were way better. I find amusing seeing how people clean at different countries. I didn't get the importance of hot water to clean the floors! But soapy water, of course. Then, I've seen other creators cleaning them exactly like Hermione did here 🤭 and that's the usual for them. Maybe a squeegee instead of other tools, like a broom or a sponge.

Mixing vinegar (acidic) with bicarbonate (basic) creates water! And a bit of heat. It looks and feels awesome when using it, but truth be told, it actually doesn’t do much of anything. It is better to use them separately. Bicarbonate is great at dissolving fats, and can be helpful in a sink that is clogged. Vinegar is great at removing lime scale, and can also be useful on the tap or shower head. And warm water can of course also be great for a sink drain to flush some fats out. But it is an old myth that vinegar and bicarbonate is good together, they don’t really match if you look at the chemistry. I like bicarbonate + dish soap, both are basic and creates a nice gritty texture.

It's not terribly complicated to install a p-trap under your sink. I wonder if this is something you'd consider doing that way you dont have to do the workaround with the sink. 🤔 Plus I think it would make for a very good video since plumbing is something alot of people are scared of but you could make it super newbie friendly.
