I too am intersex even though my body appears more or less male it is far more complex than that. Inside of me are both male and female parts. The word gender dysphoria is often used to to describe people who are transgender so people would say that I am transgender because of dysphoria but I say this word has no meaning to me because I was born with both female and male parts. Dysphoria is a word that refers to a persons phycological comprehension that our gender is the opposite of what the appearance of our bodies would suggest. I applaud this lecture. It raises our world to a whole new level.

Lamp -chan You speak of god ? Have you proof god is real? I mean down to earth real proof ? I bet not! Yet I offer extensive proof from a dozen reports that prove who I am. Then you suggest that I am delusional ? I have one more proof and it comes in the form of several tests. One test is called a AFP alphafeto protein and HCG test. Basically these tests are to test for pregnancy in women. I happened to be pregnant at the time these tests were conducted on me. The sad truth at the time I asked for these tests the particular doctor I saw refused to do this test that I requested and it took seven more months before I found one who who run such tests and when they did I was almost stage four cancer. You see Ive become very used to dealing with incompetence when dealing with doctors and so called professional people as a whole. At the time I went to the Mayo Clinic and they barley saved my life. In fact I did die, twice, but came back. That experience was wonderful one so many levels that I could write a book on those few minutes in my life.

Great talk, thanks for giving it! I also believe it is the rules that society places on us that is the root cause to violence and hatred many have towards the trans community. The origin of those rules being primarily in both the medical and spiritual ones specifically, but obviously influenced by society. They both force conformance rules when in reality they are really not necessary, and portray separatism that ultimately creates the issues we have to face.

Don't like their question, don't answer it. You are NOT obliged to answer any personal questions simple. If fewer TED talks were given by people "bleeding" their deeply personal stories all over the internet, maybe fewer people would even dare ask. It's possible - up until the 1980s, it was the "norm". Now, people think they are entitled to personal information.. why? Because ... money ... profit... celebrity.

So let me ask you, do humans have free will, the freedom to choose or not to choose? Does being a stay at home father make the man less manly? Does a woman serving in the military make her less feminine? Now I’ll ask you a philosophical question. How do you determine truth? Is there an actual way to determine truth of for example taste? It tastes sweet therefore it is or is it more than that. If I say I’m hot and you say you’re cold in the same room as I am, who is correct? I think that humans today truly need to construct skeptical thoughts to be able to make opinions on things they confront in their daily lives and understand that “man is the measure of all things” due to how we are and how we perceive things based on a human brain using sensory organs, however, two things can be true at the same time. I feel it would allow for more adaptability in a world that seems to be ever changing in every way.

You have the power to define your body, if you can unwind all of your DNA strands, remove that Y chromosome and substitute an X. Otherwise, you are defined all day, every day, as a male, and no amount of resurfacing will change that. It is not a social construct that you were not born with a uterus. You may choose to reject biology and say otherwise, but that does not make it so. You don't have the right to tell real men and real women that they have to accept what you say about gender, or they are bigots. Some of us would just like natural human reproduction, and humanity, to remain intact.

Life is tough. There is only one thing that can bring true joy. Worldly pleasures do not satisfy. Jesus understands and cares and has answers. He has the power to work out your current situations. It’s a relationship, not a church. Not a religion that will make a difference. He’s waiting for you to come to him and not to fear. All the sin in the world would not stop him from wanting to be with you, for he is God of forgiveness and mercy. He too had a very hard life, for he went through betrayals, torture and suffering before he died. Lay it all down on the cross and have him take the pain and torment from you, that you have carried for too long. You have a very real enemy that wants you to believe you are to blame. This is most certainly a lie, Jesus can clarify to you if you come to him with your broken heart. He wants to forgive you and give you a brand-new start in life. He is waiting for you and have nothing to fear and everything to rejoice over. Come home and you will get a fresh new start. Jesus wants you to dream of what you always wanted, and to know he makes dreams come true. He gives you dreams and helps you fulfill them. Jesus created you with dreams and talents for you to fulfill. And when you give your life to him, he begins to lead you in the ways you need to go find fulfillment. He writes straight with crooked lines, each and every person is an individual. Different. Unique from all others. And therefore, there is no canned assignment. Jesus doesn’t make cookie-cutter Christians. Each of you are SO unique, and the mission he gives you is to fulfill your deepest needs and desires.
