@@realtampaliving I was just teasing. I see so many Florida alligator attack videos in my KZfaq feed it would make me nervous to step foot in the water. Someday I will make it to Florida. Looks beautiful.

You will have to be mindful around any type of water. Even the retention ponds believe it or not.

Ridiculous Property taxes, and outrageous insurance costs. Record houses listed for sale, with more and more listing each day in Florida. I'll stay in my paid off house in Los Angeles, and save money in the bank.

Its interesting how you say ridiculous property taxes compared to CA and record amount of houses listed in FL when CA and NY are the most exited states in the USA. But thanks for commenting, I appreciated the debate.

I love Florida for a short time.. the lack of trails with elevation drives me crazy..

What part of Florida have you visited that has had no trails? We have so many parks. Elevation? Its Florida, we are a swamp lol

Not apples to apples. You said 100k in Tampa vs 100k in Sacramento, but people make more in Cali, right? And Cali has better jobs, right? I've been in Tampa and Florida for a while and have met a ton of people. We've benefited from tourism and the snowbirds, but I don't see many people outside of healthcare making good money. Our food scene is just getting better, but definitely not like San Fransisco and LA yet. Also, the summer weather was awful last year. The parks aren't that great to go to compared to many areas in Cali. We don't have mountains and such. I have several friends who lived in Florida and moved to Cali for many reasons. Florida was better until recently (home prices, insurance rates for cars and homes are crazy). We don't appear to be getting any of the really good jobs. I could be wrong, but I'm not seeing it. I've done pretty much everything here, and I don't see many people explaining it as enthusiastically these days. I would love to hike and such, but had a way better time hiking in other places like Cali.

When you incorporate state income tax, property tax, housing prices, health care...it easily becomes apples to apples. Average salary in CA is close to $150k. Average salary in FL is close to $100k. I think it balances out. Plus, you cant say you had way better time hiking in CA than FL, thats not apples to apples either. Insurance in FL is crazy, I wont argue with you there lol. At the end of the day, I love the debate and truly value your opinion and appreciate you commenting and watching. When did you leave FL?

Live in South Fl for 10 years and fl has changed a lot !! Has become very expensive , insurances , crazy drivers , rude people , customer service does not exist !! People speaks only espanol , this is Latin American not fl anymore , we have beautiful beaches and weather but that’s is that’s why we are relocating !!! I feel like I’m living in Cuba no thank you

I used to like Florida but any time I'm in Miami there are crazy drivers driving 120 MPH and no cops. Also, if you drive like 45 mins expect people driving into your lane. No problems with Tampa/Clearwater. It's okay. Prefer Palm Beach but I rather be in Laguna Beach/Newport Beach.
