You probably won't read this, but take this advise from a pro: Don't overwhelm yourself. Tackle each room alone, and even then, JUST the essentials. Try to keep it classy but basic because personality will come later. Once you have a theme set for one room, it'll be a lot easier for the rest of the apartment because now you'll have an idea. Decor comes last - just get items to fit what you have.

Doing that for the first time is both exciting and depressing. It is really hard to know what you want until you have tried stuff and then decide. My advice is go cheap until you know exactly what you want... then go for the pricey stuff. There is nothing worse than having buyer's remorse after getting something that you really didn't want at all. Good luck Sorn!!!

I love watching people shop at IKEA. My husband and I used to go in ikea dates just to look at the stuff lol.

Having moved to my own flat a second time a few years back, i'll give you some tips from my own experiences: 1. If you didn't get one from your landlord, make a "map" of your flat/apartment including the size of each room (length/width of walls, where the doors and windows are, possible slants, heating units, plug sockets and so on) - this is the most important step! 2. Make a list of what you need (furniture, hangings, carpets, curtains, shelves) to "sleep through" the first few weeks. 3. Think about the style and coloration of the rooms, maybe use a photo collage or even a program on pc to plan your future living space. 4. Concentrate on 1 room after the other to keep a clear head. 5. When shopping for furniture, put your "map" in a foil and take it with you to compare the sizes of the things you like by drawing them on it. This way you'll get a feeling if it would be too cramped to move before actually buying things... ;) 6. Stuff like cutlery, dishes, frames, etc. should wait till the rooms are actually ready-furnitured. Sometimes it may not fit in afterwards. 7. It WILL feel like a hassle to finish this project, so take some time off now and then, don't rush things! You can do it. Good luck!

All the best!! I moved last July and haven't even finished decorating my place. You don't have to decide everything at once, or even within a week or a month of moving in. Perhaps get the essentials first - bed, wardrobe, table - then focus on the decorative pieces and smaller furniture once those are in your house. Those are the most important and take up the most space. You might decide you want a certain aesthetic or to shift things around as you bring in pieces, so don't worry about getting everything at once! Moving is always stressful but always wishing you the very very very best 💕

girlllll I totally get it!! adulting at 22 here!!! I recently downsized my house and did a whole revamp of my house spring clean, new everything, and girl my bank account be hurting for a whole two weeks😂😭, and I'm not even done!!!! 😂 Make like a colour board or something, put like your favourite colours, important essentials, must haves, if you want to have an atheistic to go with your house or whatever. It really helped me with what I wanted to change..like everything in my house is painted blue like kitchen, hallway, lounge and bedroom walls etc. so I tried to stay away from having just that one colour in my house, and went with colours that compliment it.

Honestly just the basics for the first two weeks or so should be perfectly fine. Everything you think you absolutely need, then as time goes on you can add the things you see that you like and you feel you will use for sure. Also furniture, super hard to shop for, log things that you like everytime you go out to see furniture, narrow it down to what you absolutely love and such♥️ Love seeing these sorts of vlogs, we don't have anything like IKEA where I live😂♥️

Ah, I remember moving out to my first apartment and trying to fully furnish it! I ended up trying to fill empty cupboards with all the things I had... so now, 2 years later in the same apartment, I am completely out of room because there are always new things coming in, gifts from friends or cute things or new hobbies taking up even more space now than before! But what I want to tell you Sorn is that the cupboard you looked at and commented on "I would take it if it came in white" (shown with the decorative plant and jars of pasta in the video), we have that here in my apartment. To me, it's one of the ugliest things in the world but lordy is it sturdy! We have an area in the bedroom that I covered with a long curtain, where this shelf is at. And it is FULL of books and board games! I'm telling you, that shelf can seriously carry some weight. It's made to be extremely sturdy and it's very easy to disassemble and transport, too. So if you have a space where you need to put for example detergent, or heavy things, or something that doesn't need to be out in the open for guests, i recommend that shelf to you. :) It's so affordable. Plus, the wood is unfinished, so it could become a DIY project with your friends to paint it white? It will retain its wooden grain though. I seperated it from the other rooms because in my apartment, we went with the smooth matte true black Ikea style, so I would understand if you were to want glossy white everywhere. Just try to keep in mind that as you grow your personality into this new freedom zone, you will have less and less space for things and you will definitely exchange some things or outgrow them. Therefore don't stress yourself in trying to find the perfect stuff right away! I wish you a very happy, joyful and successful new year filled with lots of fulfilling friendships, cute moments, and self-expression. Sending you lots of love, Sorn!

decorating a living space is 100 times funner and easier to plan/think abt that actually do hhhh good luck sorn~ (edit: ikea korea’s cafeteria’s 1000 times better than here in the uk lmao)

its is easy and simple, you need - a bed to sleep, - wifi for internet, - essentials things for cooking like oils, veggies other stuff for 2-3 people(only 2-3 people). -all necessary thinks to keep yourself clean -get a microwave oven( itll come in handy) -get a mini fridge(recommended) or any choice for food and drinks -make sure you covered for washing and drying your clothes if not, just washer is enough. -you can eat and do drawing on floor or bed...table will not be necessary this soon -hopefully you should have setup wifi by now.😂 -cooking is not advisable this soon, get comfortable in the house then start cooking after 3-5 days -most important of all, know where you can buy all the essentials near you...so that you don't catch a train to other side of the city to buy veggies -keep an eye on how much your spending on food, it'll help later and after all these are checked, then you'll have an idea to decorate the house with table, tv, plants, mats, etc.(because these things take up space). hearing the aussie accent (😂pure)👌 edit : house*
