I was waiting for this video! So glad to see you guys embark on this new adventure. As someone who has moved around a lot, I do have a tip for clearing this negative feeling of moving and even regretting it beforehand. In this moment, it is always a good idea to be grateful. Grateful for the fact that only a very small percentage of people in the world can move abroad comfortably like you guys. This is a way to relativize everything and express gratitude. It makes you live more in the moment and be excited for what's to come. I hope you both have a great time and I'm looking forward to the upcoming videos! All the love

For your next move, please know that the luggage weight limit is per person not per bag (there is a limit per bag for safety but that’s like 30kg or more) if you paid for 2 bags and one is 20.4 and one is 18 that’s absolutely fine. Hope that helps make the next move a little less stressful x

You will be fine with English everywhere in Germany, so don't worry about that at all! :) Learning German will be fun though, and you'll get better at it so quickly if you practice it in Germany. If you're ever in the Stuttgart area and wanna hang out hmu, would be very happy to show you around 🩷🩷

I moved to Germany 3 months ago. I am working for an international company, where everyone speaks English but I strongly recommend learning basic German, just enough to get by... other than that, have fun and enjoy Germany!

Not to upset you, but German isn't a language that you can just learn the basics and use while ordering food or something. I suggest either learning it properly or not at all. I live in Germany (I am not a native German) and can speak B1 German but still do not use it because natives literally speak a different language.

I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree on this one! I personally think learning anything is better than learning nothing :) even if I’m not good enough to speak to natives, it’s still useful for reading and listening in other scenarios x

@@lydiavioleta_hi Lydia as a native German speaker you will definitely find it useful to know basics in restaurants and stuff I don’t think what this person says is correct! Or they live in a small village where there is an extreme accent or something. In Berlin you will be fine

It's absolutely ALWAYS better to at least learn SOMETHING! It makes an enormous difference in how welcome you feel and how approachable the place feels. Always, always try, it will make your experience so different and just better!!

@@JazzvibesiclI literally tried to order in German in Cologne and the person in the counter said “ I can speak english if you want”. And I had couple similar experiences in other cities as well. I understand what you are saying but I am just trying to be realistic here.

@@lydiavioleta_I absolutely understand what you are coming from and I am just sharing my personal experince. Of course learning even a little thing is always good but when it comes to learning hard languages ( like German) by heart, it is not quite worth the trouble. That’s all I am saying
