Today we're packing up our moose grind from Medved-Taiga and moving it to Layton Lake District! Rejuvenating the grind is one thing, but taking an albino cow moose in the process really helps set things off on the right foot!

Always will enjoy Layton. I remember when I first started playing this game. I was blown away by how great Layton looks.

The Layton rivers are a blessing and a curse. It's so easy to run the rivers instead of trying to place tents perfectly, but then there's always one that requires a 600yd run to pick up. Going from the south to the north can take all day but hitting 5 different drink zone times one after another has its perks.

I feel the same. Over 900 kills , and only 3 diamonds and no rares or GO. I’m sick of Medved and the snow!!

There are several moose zones along the riverbank south of the roonaki outpost. Moose and whitetail zones in fact.

I like hunting with the 338 just because it’s new I honestly can’t really tell a difference between that and the 300.

Try the lakes south west(and the one that is not visiable on map) they are packed full of moose. Perfect for grinding :)

I was a huge fan of the og 338. I got the 300. Like 6 months ago and have been using it on my Moose Grind. I took that same "heart shot" from about 160m on a decent lvl 4 and got the heart. I really don't understand how the 300. has more penetration whenever the 338. Does on paper and should in game. They're both savage guns. I've shot a 300 in real life, and I've seen a poor mule get bulldozed by one. My moms boyfriend has both a 338 and the lapua. And the 300wm. From seeing the guns themselves to the bullet and cartridge, they have. The 338 needs a buff, I'd be happy with the 300 having 45, and the 338 having 50 penetration... Cuz hell my 6.5 creedmoor blew straight threw a mule deer at 120 yards😅, instant drop shot.

I just started trying to manage my blacktail herds on Layton okay and I’ve got a few golds and I had a beautiful level 5 diamond potential but I don’t know what to do with all the animals in his herd. I have the level 5 I keep smoking the level 3s but what about the couple level 2 bucks in his herd what should I do with them? One hotspot I shot a 2 while I had a decent 4 there and the 2 came back as a bigger 4. So am I okay to do that or will that make the grind harder

If after this grind and the bear grind you decide to grind for another whitetail you should do it on rancho because it seems like a cool map to grind on
