World Cup Finals in Andorra was an amazing way to end the season. Not only are the organizers accommodating and so welcoming, but the weather was perfect and the vibe was so great. Even though I went into the series with the slalom, giant slalom, and overall globes locked in and no pressure, ending the season on a high note with a podium in slalom, and a win in giant slalom was so special (especially given Thea Louise Stjernesund and Valerie Grenier skied so strong).
Thank You…
Mom.
I wish I could find a way to put into words what you have given me through my life so far. What you’ve taught me. How you have lifted me up every single day, as my coach, as my best friend, as my mother.
Dad.
I don’t know what you would say to me. I wish I could know… except I don’t want to hear it from anyone else but you. I do know what I would say to you.. I love you, I love you more, I love you most.
Taylor.
My big brother. The one who I’ve learned the most from about what to do, and what not to do. You’re my hero, and you have been since the beginning.
Aleks.
You have inspired, motivated, and helped to heal me, every single day since we started down this path…it’s been incredible to watch you work and I’m so proud to be a little part of it. Congratulations and I love you.❤️
To the team.
My coaches all through the years, old and new.
Physical Therapists, strength coaches, psychologists.
Kilian, Megan, Dawsy…
My teammates…
U.S. Ski and Snowboard…
All of this belongs to you, it would not be possible without you.
To my technicians through the years-
Kim, Johann, Robbi, Lukas. It has been the greatest honor to work with each of you. Robbi and Lukas - you have been the most wonderful additions to this team, i look forward to working with you every single day.
To my sponsors.
Your support, encouragement and belief in me is the greatest I could ever receive. Thank you for taking a chance on this journey with me.
To FIS.
I know your work is not easy. We complain a lot. I wont say it’s perfect, but I will say that we are so grateful that you are here and work everyday to make this journey and these dreams possible for all of us. And thank you so so much for this recognition and emotion.
To my competitors.
Where would we be without each other. So many of us have become friends over the years…it’s unbelievable to be part of this with you. It’s just a small blip of our lives, and then it will be over, moving onto the next chapter, but never forgotten.
To the media.
Your storytelling is the most essential thing in our sport. You are the gateway between us and the world. It’s an enormous responsibility - I hope it also gives you gratification. Thank you for playing that important role.
To the fans.
We could not exist without you. Thank you for your passion, excitement, and for inspiring all of us, just as much as we inspire you.
For everyone I’ve missed…there are SO many - thank you all, for the part you have played in the most spectacular season I could ever imagine.
Alrighty then…Moving Right Along

Not only is Mikaela the greatest ski racer of all time, but she just might be the most gracious, kind, thoughtful, understanding, and eloquent world class athlete there is today. All athletes should take a page out of her book. She is amazing how she can compete at a world class level, do countless interviews with grace, and fulfill all of her obligations with a smile on her face, kindness, and a willingness to be thankful to all of those who support her. An amazing athlete and an even more amazing person.

What an awesome and humble woman. i raced with her father a number of years back in VT and know he would be so immensely proud of how she is handling all of the attention and pressure. Jeff was kind and humble as well. Congrats young lady and all the best moving forward.

Mark Twain once said that "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." I don't know what the answer to the "why" part is (only you can answer that) but I like to think the answer has something to do with the power of your example. I'm speaking of your ability to inspire people in a positive way and showing the rest of us how to be a good and kind person in this crazy world. All of your victories on the slopes don't mean anything if you're not a class act, and you, Mikaela, are indeed a class act! The Train Don't Stop, baby!!

Another wonderful and perfectly balanced episode of this unforgettable season. Thank you Mika for bringing yourself and doing your best. The results are now written in stone. You can relax, but we know that was never the goal, just the inevitable reward for all the effort doing something you love. Thank you also for bringing a humble humanity to something the world needs more examples of. You are the real deal and this series gave anyone who watched the opportunity to see so many aspects of what it takes to get to and stay on top. The effort and the mindset. Thank you to the entire team behind you and this effort. Every person who contributed in any way. Contribution as a super power is underrated. Thank you all. See you in 6 months!
