What I like about Australia is the buildings and infustructure are new - compared to the UK.Houses are larger, as are house blocks.The country is modern.

Yes I definitely like this too especially that not all houses have to look the same as the others on the street

Yes I’ve tried a few in Sunday! Do you have any recommendations? I’ve had a few good roasts but I still think nothing beats a home cooked one

@@MillyRobinson There is an Irish pub in Parramatta but the best Roast lamb and potatoes is at my house in Mount Pritchard . I use oregano , thyme , rosemary , garlic , unrefined sea salt or Himalayan rock salt , cracked pepper , cold pressed olive oil and freshly squeezed Lemon . I also put pumpkin, sweet potato and white potato using same spices . Everything is cooked in a stainless steel Dutch oven . I hope this will give you an idea how to make it yourself . Best wishes !

Onya Milly👍 I'm an old prick of 58 now 😁 ,but I moved to Eastbourne in 1990 & stayed 3yrs in the UK. I got what I think was called a 'right of abode' as my mum was born in the UK (she was adopted as her mum died at birth & they moved here when she was 4). So anyway that meant I was able to stay & work as long as I wanted. I flew into the UK with £67 in my pocket & this was on a one-way ticket. I arrived on a Sunday,Monday was a bank holiday & I started labouring work on the Tuesday. So as far as you saying to just go for it.....👍 I Totally agree! 🙃 I loved the UK & was lucky to get snow in 2 of those years😎 but yeah the weather & lifestyle back here in Oz is what I love. I flew back,but to QLD,as I'd always wanted to dive on the Great Barrier Reef. I had bugger all money and bummed around Cairns for a month or so,then hitch-hiked back to Perth. Thankfully the memories are still clear 😁 Best wishes from over in the West👍👍 ✌️❤️

What visa route did you take? You said you went on a working holiday visa, have/how have you gone from that to full time work and more permanent residency? Looking to move over with my girlfriend and working out our best route! Thanks!

Just on the Huntsman, they are venomous and do bite, but you'd probably have to get into some kind of wrestling match with it for that to occur its reportedly painful but not serious. You are living in Sydney so of course does the Sydney funnel web spider. How ever they are kind of specific about the places they like to live. Any environment moist,mossy, with bush rock, water feature etc: and of course frequently in swimming pools. I live 160kms North of Sydney and over a 20 year period I recovered curiously enough probably 20 from my pool. Some Spring/Summer periods they are more prevalent than others. So, we only take the good ones in Australia, so that would be a "thank you" for joining us.

I never realised the huntsman was venomous 😶 Probably wouldn’t have been so forthcoming to be the one to relocate them when they make their way inside had I known 😂 Luckily I haven’t seen a funnel web yet and hoping it stays that way 🤞

The Huntsman spider is venomous but not at a level that is harmful to people. Even when bitten, most people simply experience a small amount of pain at the site of the Huntsman bite. The exception to this would be a person with an allergy to the venom, which can produce a more significant reaction.@@MillyRobinson

I've been bitten by a Huntsman (only by trying to catch it and put it outside instead of killing it) and it hurt less than a bee sting. Don't go passing false information.

Have you both had any thoughts of living in a different city in Australia? There are some very high wages in other parts of the country and cost of living is often cheaper compared to Sydney.

For now we’re definitely happy in Sydney but I wouldn’t rule out moving to QLD or WA in the future. My fear would be that I’ve always live in very large cities so I’m not sure how I would find living somewhere quieter

How did you find moving solo? I'm wanting to move to aussie from new zealand but am worried as i dont know anyone over there and would be moving by myself.
@MillyRobinson
@MillyRobinson 3 ай бұрын
I actually didn’t move solo, so I don’t have personal advice here. However I do know lots of people that have moved solo and they’ve been so fine! There are so many people in the same situation all looking to make friends so you just need to put yourself out there at the start and say yes to everything until you find the people that will be your good friends
