You are right, we don't get a lot of snow, not what you would expect. It does seem to snow often but rarely more than 3 inches at a time and frequently less. Moved here from Dallas and appreciate the change in seasons. The winter is a little long (and grey) but yes, spring and fall are stunning. The first cold snap of the year is a bit of a shock to the system but you get acclimated; unless it is below freezing, you usually only see me in a light jacket. When I first moved here for a job opportunity, I knew very little about the area ... the Indy 500, Peyton Manning played for the Colts, the Pacers played here and corn fields ... that is about it. Pleasantly surprised. Great downtown, beautiful parks/trails, plenty of things to do. I'm not in real estate but there are plenty of options for the lifestyle you are interested in. If you love to watch or play sports, few places beat it. Chicago, St. Louis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Columbus all reasonably close for a work trip or weekend away. Not perfect, I've lived in a number of big cities and they all have their positives and negatives but I'm glad to have lived here ... and both my kids were born Hoosiers!

Great video! I thought you are going to mention about Indy 500 when you mentioned about playing and watching sports. But overall a great view of Indy. People from out of state should watch your channel to know more about Indiana. All they know is cornfield.

What’s the average drive time in Indiana for say 30-60 miles?

I have a good tip, stay out of the intercity it's just unsafe. The small area in the downtown portion is OK but not great. If you,re planning on buying a house buy one outside of the ring of 465 and away from the bus routes. The better places around Indy are Carmel and Fishers on the north side. Greenwood and Franklin south. Avon, Plainfield and Danville on the west side. On the east side it's a bit tougher, you will need to go out farther to Greenfield and Knightstown. The bulk of the state is nice but like most big city's stay out of the central portion as much as you can.

Healthcare here has gone downhill! ERs are terrible for community hospitals! I have had bad experiences for them! IU drs are bad as well. I think mostly has to do w/ Medicare coverage? Just horrible experiences over last few yrs! Seems Drs just can’t or won’t to help.. flummoxed! I don’t know if this is nationwide thing or an Indiana thing?
