I'm actually thinking of emigrating away from Ireland after 41 years of living here. 100% agree with you about the cost of rent.. By far our biggest issue is our property crises.. It's true that property prices have risen sharply in most major cities in Europe and beyond, however the issue in Ireland is compounded with a severe supply shortage.. I know of several people who can't find anywhere to rent, despite having plenty of funds to cover the cost of rent... Our government are largely to blame for this.. I could write a book on how many ways they've failed the people of Ireland, but won't bore everyone with all the details here.. Anyway, best of luck here! 🙂

I deleted my comment because I thought it was a little harsh on a new person to the country. But do not judge Ireland by what you see in Dublin.There are thousands of places better than than that place in the country.
