Looks like a bit more polished old KZfaq video, actually edits them, voice overs, camera quality because of technology is actually decent other than video stabilization which makes it look like a normal person filmed and edited something to share with the world rather than being a full time job. Definitely something that more people would appreciate in their home feeds.

Hey! I've been using wani kani as well. Really enjoy it. Ive been on it for several months now. I'm in lesson 8, which im sure is way behind you as I understood nothing on your laptop screen 😅. I feel a bit loppsided now: I'm a much stronger reader than listener, but hopefully that changes as I learn more verb conjugation and stuff. Thanks for the video! Might look into language school myself, but for now, my wife and I are taking our first visit there in this summer possibly.

Wanikani is awesome, I can’t recommend it enough. It definitely got harder as I kept going but so worth it. There are some awesome podcasts with simple Japanese if you want to improve your listening. I’m glad you liked the video. Hope you enjoy your trip and get to experience Japan to the fullest!😊

im thinking about going to a language school next year! If you don't mind answering how much did you save before going?

I think it was about 10k USD because I knew that I it would take some time before I could work. But it really depends on your expected expenses. Language school is not cheap as well. But the price of living could be quite affordable, depending of the lifestyle you want of course.

OMG You do Pole in Japan?? How is it? I'll be going to a language school in Kyoto next April and I want to visit the pole studio there to get into contact with locals and all

Yes! It’s a great way to make some friends. It was my plan to meeting locals as well. Just make sure to actually go to lessons and not just open pole. It’s way easier to connect with people during lessons.

That’s really awesome! You should definitely apply, studying in Japan is an experience I would recommend for anybody. As far as I know most major schools don’t have an age limit, only a minimum age restriction. I definitely had some parents studying with me at my language school. I lived in Okinawa for a year. Student visa. Was epic. Impossible to date Japanese people, but I got a great Vietnamese girlfriend while there. What nationality gaijin are you dating? Ha.

Wow a year in Okinawa sounds awesome. I get what you mean, dating Japanese people can be very challenging. Communication is even harder than it usually is in a relationship. I just happen to date the right person I guess.

I was always curious about Japan, and the timing was just right. I had too much time on my hands, which led me to research Japan and realize that it’s not as impossible as I thought it was.
