I finally sat down to make a video of my experience moving to Paris. Honestly, the beginning was so chaotic. I didn't even include everything that happened! An example: metro strike on the day I had to move Airbnbs. Roads were packed, the cabs were impossibly expensive (I paid 170€ in fare that day, crazy!!).
But, I must say moving to Paris is one of the best decisions I made for myself. The growth that comes from being fully independent, the experience of figuring things out... I'm grateful for all of it!

Hello, In France, beyond Air BnB type accommodation, you usually need to prove that you have a steady source of income and sufficient revenue and/or funds. Often, you need to prove that your monthly income is three time the monthly rent. It is also common to need to have a guarantor who signs to pay the rent if you default. Beginnings can be tough indeed!

It would be nice if you talked about what type of visa you're on, how you opened a bank account, etc. These are hurdles for a lot of people that want to live in Paris and it would be interesting to hear your experiences with such things.

Paris is such a beautiful place! Been wanting to travel there ever since I got my passport! Love it! Just to ask though, have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane.

It'll be such a great experience :) I found my apartment on the app Seloger. All Parisian agencies put their listings on this app!

Hey😊 you can get by with English, although it’s best to know some basic French words! I don’t speak it very well but I studied it for 4 years back in Sg :)

Why don't you consider studying in France? That way if you go the alternance route you'll have a job and a steady form of income. Sorry, I see that you already got an apartment. This was my first video😅

No worries😊 when I was in Singapore, I received the visa to be a liberal professional/entrepreneur, I didn’t expect to meet so many rental agents in Paris who have a problem with it!
