That is so sweet! I don't really know if more kinder, but definitely more expressive than Swedes :). I'm actually going to Ukraine for a week, to visit my mum and my grandparents. Haven't been to Ukraine for over 3 years, it feels almost weird but exciting at the same time! So, there'll be a video about it, for sure!

What an insightful comment! What a sharp oppinion of yours! I have recently been to Lapland and Norrbotten in general, and I absolutely love it (it is not the first time I visit the very North of Sweden). It is not the first time I hear such an oppinion about Stockholm and Stockholmers which does not surprise me really. People seem to be pretty self-centered and career driven, and it is definitely hard to make friends. The thing is, people can get to know you and be nice to you, but that's all. That connection does not go any further. And there's lack of spontaneity. Would be nice to live somewhere else in Sweden, for a couple of month and see how that goes :).

@@JaneG Jane. I know you've been up here in the mountains of Lapland. When I told you that I live in Kiruna and the mountains, my workplace was as a soldier in the then Lapland Ranger Regiment. Which is now called the Lapland Ranger Group. All military training takes place both summer and winter up in the mountains and you climb Kebnekaise 2 times, once in the summer and once in the winter. I have been following you since you uploaded your first video and I said I will follow and support you. The way Stockholamre is is nothing new, it was already in the 70s and is still like that today.. I have family and had grandfather and grandmother there, as my mother is from the south in Stockholm. She moved from there early and in 1958 she moved to Kiruna, she has said several times that she has enjoyed herself the best in Kiruna and never liked Stockholm. have some friends who tried to move to Stockholm in the 80s but they couldn't stand the people and the loneliness there. As I wrote, nobody from up here moves to Stockholm. In our local news, we interviewed people who moved to different cities/in Norrbotten from other countries, such as Germany, Australia, South Africa and now most recently 2 large families who moved from India to Boden in 2022. All of them have in common that they are enjoying themselves, easy to make friends, love nature, that they can fish and drink there clean water directly from the river. All of them have applied for a job before they moved up here and got a job. Thousands of workers are needed here up to Norrbotten but also Väösterbotten. I promise you that if you and your husband try to move up here, you won't want to move back to Stockholm. As you have seen when you were up here how breezy it was. You seem to enjoy being out in nature and the mountain world, then you should move up in Sweden. Imagine you fish for the fish yourself and there is no fresher fish, then in the fall you can pick lingonberries, blueberries and the gold of the forest up here in the cloudberry. (The hornbeam is called the gold of the forest, is because it is the most expensive b'are to buy in a store or if you pick and sell to fine restaurants in Stockholm, you get paid very well. What you should consider about the difference between Stockholm and smaller municipalities in Norrland, is what you have to pay for a 1a in Stockholm inner city, then you get a whole house with land. I have read several times about how Stockholmers sold apartments and bought a whole house up in Norrland for that money. ​Mer information Skicka feedback

@@ingvartorma9789 I thought of you now when I was in Kiruna last week (thought would be nice to visit you some time!) Kiruna is under construction, and its surroundings. It surprised me a lot! I saw some destroyed forests and trees around which was not really nice to see! And yes, I love Lapland so much, I have a huge interests in the Sami culture, its people, etc, it is so extremelly fascinating to me. There is some very special and unique energy up there in Norrbotten, hard to explain. I have no doubt people enjoy the Northern part of Sweden!

@@JaneG Jane, if I can help teach others about Sweden, I will. The mistake that many who want to move to Sweden make, they choose Stockholm and it doesn't work out at all and they are disappointed. This is how they spread the wrong image on KZfaq about what we Swedes are like, and it's a completely wrong image, but it's only in Stockholm that it's like that.
