It's time for a change. After going to Tokyo 10 times, it's now time to see a different side of Japan. The inaka, the japanese country side! I'm excited to show you this other side of Japan, I came across some really interesting things here!

@@KokoroKompass I didnt spend much time in the rural villages of Japan when there years ago and mostly just gazed at them while on train trips between the large cities. I have lived in rural Australia so to me many of these places are not so isolated like people think. If I could I would buy a house in or near a small town and spend at least part of the year there with my young family. I worry though aboutt hidden costs and taxes of doing this that sprukers online may not be mentioning. My dream would be somewhere I could jump on a train into town if needed but also have space for an orchard and garden. Some where my children could attend local school perhaps. Still a dream but I think for my children it would be a great experience before they are grown up. Sorry for such a long winded comment. I have many questions to ask those that have gone down this path.

i really enjoy ur vids, great videography, editing and a nice cadence. i was wondering how difficult it is to get permission for drone footage since they prohibited it in around 2015 i think without prior written permission. i was oblivious to this until i spoke with some officers in a local koban. there is some government entity where you have to detail exactly when and where you wish to film. the hard thing is, apart from not knowing exact details of when u wish to fly, but i believe the approval process can take over a month.
@KokoroKompass
@KokoroKompass 10 ай бұрын
Thanks! That process is only for red zones in densely populated areas. For less dense areas you simply register the drone. Since this is in the countryside I could fly pretty much anywhere. Tokyo is pretty much all a no fly zone though

@@KokoroKompass oh k, i will have to look into it. i was told by police in takayama, gujo hachiman, shirakawago and tomonoura. with tomonoura, that was where they explained the process i need written permission for any place in japan even in areas not built up. i asked if i could film way out of town over the water. they said no. id love to take my drone back again but i will def try and get some more clarification - the poor officer called about 5 different ppl, i was there for over an hour, i just really wanted to go in the end but felt embarrassed so waited through the process. :)
