I just got a PS5. My wife surprised me. Which is funny because I'm MUCH more of a PC gamer now.

Did you cut this video short? Anyway, I'm pretty much aligned with you. I've never gotten around to buying any console the year of launch. My first PS1/2/3/4 were the "slim" versions. I'd like a PS5, but I'm in no rush. Like, I wouldn't turn one away, but the hardware shortage has been a bit of a blessing in disguise. Still, when they're more readily available and I don't have to scrounge or stay on waitlists I'll be picking one up. In the meantime I'm content.

Some how the finally part got cut. I just left it as is. Definitely no rush at all. We still got a ways to go with the last gen.

Great video, L.S. I'll get the next generation console (9th gaming era) when there's a slim version (let alone an 1TB). What's the point of getting an PS5/Xbox Series X when it's sold out? Plus, there are games still being made in PS4 & Xbox One (8th gaming era). I can wait.

Its going to be awhile before I even consider picking up either system because I just have no reason to, God of war is going to be on the PS4 and Halo infinite is on Game pass so its gonna be awhile if at all when I upgrade

With all these games still being released on last gen then there is no rush.

it will be another 2 or 3 yrs before i get a ps5 there hard to find now thanks to scaplers and even at reg price 5 and six hundred smh thats crazy

@@GameFreak4Ever i remember when ps3 came out i didn't get one till about 4 yrs later becuse it was so damn high at the time but when i did finnaley get one i found alotta cheap games lol so sometimes it is good to wait

I'm not interested, I'm more or less all in on pc with the occasional Switch exclusive. I'll get a ps5 eventually when there is a slim model and it's not a hassle to get. I haven't played my ps4 pro at all in 2021 and only played my one x twice this year. The only Sony exclusive I'm looking forward to is God of War Ragnarok and that will be on ps4. Xbox games are on pc and that's how I'll play those.

Totally understand. That's been my thoughts for years. Even still I'm not going break my neck for one. We are in this weird space with gaming. I believe with the PS3 we peaked. It was such a leap. Too many roads to go down. I said to myself last gen was going to be it for me. Who knows it still may be.

@@GameFreak4Ever I dunno about peak but it certainly hasn't evolved much since that gen. Been playing FF13 on my pc through gamepass, and that has aged very well visually, 15 wasn't much of a leap in visuals at all, and I still kind of prefer the more surreal look of 13 rather than the greater realism of 15.

Theres really no point in getting a ps5 at the moment, especially with this cross generation thing going on. Developers not utilizing the full power of the new consoles because theyre compromising their games to be on last generation as well. I was already planning on getting a ps5 when the slim releases which would be around 2023, and now with spiderman 2 releasing that same year, a game that actually looks like a leap into a new generation, I'm more confident in my decision.

I did that with the PS3 and PS4. I waited two years or more before getting one. You're right! At the moment no rush at all.
