Pineview Golf Course and Country Club was opened in Macclenny, FL, USA in 1968. Now, in 2022, the facilities have been demolished, nature has taken over, and it looks nothing like the golf course that closed in the mid 2000's.
With new owners threatening to clear all 140 acres to make way for over 400 residential homes, I decided to try and capture what little piece of history I could from this one-time mainstay of the local community before it was gone forever.
The ‪@ventrac‬ 4520 with HQ682 Tough Cut deck was able to take down everything except for a few pines that I didn't want to risk getting caught in the blades and breaking a spindle. I was impressed with the striping that was visible in the aerial after-shot, especially since this is a brush mower and not a finish deck. I surmise much of that has to do with the rubber flap/strip along the rear that probably creates some downward pressure, especially since I have the cutting deck in the lowest configuration.
