Just so all of you will know, PETE is one of the most welcoming people you would ever want to meet. I live about 2-3 miles from His shop and buy all my material from Him. He LOVES the LORD and His Family more than all things, in that order. He has taught me so much from this YOU-TUBE channel. Oh and by the way He truly is as CRAZY about GRASS as you sense Him to be... Love ya Pete you are one of a kind Brother. Samuel Samuels Specialized Services-A Lawn Care Company!!!

With that being said I’ll add I live in Chesapeake, VA, and never met Pete in person but he has been so helpful and always got back to me when I needed advice. So I agree and he gets my business because he offers great, proven products and wonderful advice. Seeded w Pete’s TTTF AND THE MIX last year and had great results so done the same this year. By 🎃 👻 🎃 the yard should be 🔥.

Definitely try that Perennial Rye. Maybe even try a Spring aeration/seeding, you know it germinates fast, you've got watering covered.. I think it'll work if you spoon feed it and baby bottle water it I've been in the industry for almost 10 yrs but never knew it would jump start growth by mowing it... Obviously, it makes complete sense. Thank you Pete, I don't think most ppl know cutting it boosts growth

Pete your channel is a blessing. I'm disabled from a work injury back in 2009 4 back surgeries and I live in pain 24/7 before I got hurt I was mowing a few yards on the side and worked hard on my own lawn to have a nice looking lawn. But since my back injury my lawn is more weeds than grass. Hoping to find someone to help me renovate my lawn after watching your videos. May God bless you and your family and business.

I wish I had taken pictures of my back yard before I aerated and over seeded with my Cool Blue. I had turned the sprinklers off in the spring because my yard is low and naturally wet, and by wet I mean a total swamp. It is UNREAL how good it looks right now. Even with 4 dogs roaming the yard. The front looks good too! I got the Rainbird app for my phone and that module for my control panel, so I could control my watering better. KEEP YOUR SEED MOIST!!!! I’ve never had better seed germination results. Thanks PETE!!!

Pete, I enjoy your ministry and your lawn care presentations, even if NONE of those grasses (except Bermuda) will survive the Texas heat down here. I also like to experiment with different grasses, fertilizers, and soil supplements. I have found several good methods of controlling weeds without using chemicals, so my soil stays strong and healthy all year long with limited watering applications. I have worked in DYI lawn care most of my life and I still enjoy it. Blessings to you, brother.

Reseeded my yard with Blue Heat after a brutal summer in Philly. Was looking for better KBG varieties that can hopefully withstand the summer better. Luckily I planted the seed Sept 1st because its very slow, but today on Oct 13th its coming in really nice. Very pleased with the results and already getting a lot compliments. Plan to water aggressively as Pete did with his bluegrass in the summer.

@@davidslabaugh5815 No had done a renovation in 2019 with TTTF. Had a decent amount die off over the summer from disease and I think not enough water. Since it was thinned our, I took this as my chance to add in some KBG to get some disease resistance diversity and also to try to benefit from the self healing nature of KBG.

I just back lapped my Great States reel mower tonight. Cuts like a dream. For height adjustment, you can adjust it by moving the wheels up and down as well. It's a bit of a pain, but the wheels have a bolt behind the inner backplate and three options to rotate the wheel up/down. I use the back roller to fine tune as it offers more flexibility.

I can give you some pointers to get the Scott's/whatever branded American Lawn Mowers 20" push reel mower down to .5" or below. Just a simple modification required, but you dont have the real roller like with your current model. Instead, you'd have two rear wheels (since they come with wheels). You might could mod that as well, but I haven't modified that yet on the 20" model.

Pete, my perennial rye lasted till late July and got diseased. It was non-irrigated. I was limping it along spoon feeding. It did pretty well surprisingly. I think if I had irrigation I could have gotten most of it thru. It really needs to be syringed in those hot summer days. If I got it that far, I know you can make it happen.

I would love to see you take the darkest green rye and bluegrass stands and use that in the renovation. You already have TTTF so I think that would be a little boring to do, and I also think it doesn't mix well. I would have really liked to have seen fine fescue, but it's probably harder to keep green in the heat than rye grass.
