Here I am mowing in just about the wettest conditions I can mow in without getting stuck, in these ditches.I never did get stuck, this time. Although I have been stuck in these ditches twice.

I just bought a troy bilt mustang this year, I only have about 20-25 yards that I do. It should be interesting learning just how steep a slope and how wet a ditch it will be able to do without getting struck or sliding. It has far smaller tires than a commercial mower, but weighs less than most of them. Only time will tell.
@Something2LookAt4 жыл бұрын
That might be good in the long run. A lighter mower would be easier to get out of the ditch.

I see you have concrete over your culverts down there - up here in Maine those parts of the ditches are no-man's land. They fill in that area with big 5" rocks. You don't wanna drive over that.

I would always be pondering WHY and HOW did they leave one stinking pine in the ditch? 🤔😂 And close enough to the fence you can't drive between. I'll be wondering about it on my deathbed.

Just a question. I see you have an open trailer in Florida. Any concern with the mower in the rain ? Really looking for info on weather you would buy an enclosed or keep what you have now an open trailer.
@Something2LookAt6 жыл бұрын
Oh, the mowers are designed to be able to get wet. And I like to put my trailer in my garage at night. Enclosed trailers are usually too tall to fit. But I would prefer an open trailer anyway. Just for the open-ness.
@TurfSurfer6 жыл бұрын
Something 2LookAt awesome man! Thanks for the info. Buying a new trailer soon and also definitely getting a cheetah! If you were to buy a new cheetah would you do the 27hp or the 35hp?
@Something2LookAt6 жыл бұрын
I will definitely up the horsepower next time around. Keep in mind though, even at 27 hp it's a gas pig. 35 will be worse. But if you're general selection of yards looks like mine, there will be many times when you wish you had a bit more hp. :) And by the way, yes, I've stalled it out. It takes a lot to do it, but I've done it.
@TurfSurfer6 жыл бұрын

Try crossing the ditch at an angle. Many fewer passes will be required and less steep angles.
@billh14716 жыл бұрын
Go across ditch before mowing the rest too.

Crossing at an angle would likely gouge at the edges of the deck.
